Rumors were widespread that Salman Khan has been approached
for the third installment of the trendy action-thriller, Race 3. Rumour
mill was abuzz that Salman will step into the shoes of a villainous character
in the movie. But, the makers of Race franchise, director duo
Abbas-Mustan have cleared that Salman hasn't been approached for the movie yet!
"We have not narrated any idea to Salman. We are yet to
take a call on Race 3. Next year we will decide about the casting and
other details of the film," told the filmmakers to a close source.
"The writers are working on the script. We haven't
heard the story so we can't say anything about casting. There are reports that
Salman is going to be part of the third part of the film but the fact is work
is in progress so it's too early to say anything," Abbas-Mustan further added.
While the first movie released in 2008, starring Saif Ali
Khan and Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles, the sequel Race 2 released
in 2013.
On being enquired if Saif and Anil (Kapoor) will feature in
the third part as well, the filmmakers told, "Not decided the characters
yet."
