Vidya Balan to play the lead role in the remake of 'Sadma'?

If rumors are to be believed, then ad-filmmaker Lloyd Baptista is all set to remake Sridevi's much-admired 1983 release Sadma and he wants to rope in Vidya Balan to play the lead role in his film.

News has it that the makers have already met the actress to discuss the project but, we hear that Vidya, who is a huge Sridevi fan, is a little apprehensive about it as she feels that ‘no one will be able to match Sridevi's performance'. Balan is currently working on three movies and is keen to work on original scripts.

Sridevi played a young woman, who regresses to childhood after suffering from amnesia, in Sadma, which also starred Kamal Haasan.
