After much rumors about whether Sujoy Ghosh and Vidya Balan
will team up for a sequel to their thriller Kahaani, Ghosh lastly declared at
an event that the sequel project is happening.
Explaining on the same, Ghosh told that the sequel is in the
pre-production stage and that Kahaani 2 too will be set in Kolkata and will
star Vidya Balan. Kahaani had also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and had revolved
around the adventures of an ostensibly pregnant woman, who comes to Kolkata
from London to trace her missing husband.
Ghosh and Balan have presently teamed up for the former's
production endeavor TE3N, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin
Siddiqui.
