Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing an INA (Indian National
Army) solider in Vishal Bhardwaj's forthcoming movie Rangoon and buzz has it
that Shahid was originally supposed to play a Sikh before Vishal decided to
change his character.
A source attached to the film disclosed that Shahid was
supposed to play a Sikh in the movie and that the actor was quite gung-ho about
wearing a turban, but Vishal felt that several A-list actors have played Sikhs
recently, so he decided to drop the idea and made Shahid play a Muslim.
Apart from Shahid, Rangoon will also star Saif Ali Khan and
Kangana Ranaut.
