Emraan Hashmi, who will be next seen playing the lead character
in the biopic on former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, has found
another way to prep for his character in the movie.
Emraan, who is going all out to get under the skin of the
character, has not only been rehearsing his game with Azhar but will also
travel with him to his hometown to better realize his life and his days in
Hyderabad.
A source reveals, "As Azhar and Emraan have been
talking to each other for a while, Azhar recommended that Emraan should visit
all the places he used to spend time at as a hopeful cricketer and later as a
known figure in Hyderabad as that would add to the genuineness of Emraan's
character. The two have locked in on a quick weekend trip to Hyderabad. Emraan
will visit the grounds Azhar has practiced at, his favorite restaurants and
also meet a few people who have been a substantial part of Azhar's journey as a
cricketer."
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Azhar will be directed by Tony
D'Souza and is slated to release on May 13, 2016.
