Phool khilte hain kyun
Baat gulon ki zikr mehak ka
Acha lagta hai kyun
Un rango se tune milaaya
Jinse kabhi main mill na paaya

Dil karta hai tera shukriya
Phir se bahaare tu laa de
Dil ka soona banjar mehka de
Sukhi padi dil ki is zameen ko bhiga de

hmm.. hoon akela, zara haath badha de
Sookhi padi dil ki iss zameen ko bhiga de

Waise toh mausam guzre hain
Zindagi mein kayi
Par ab naa jaane kyun mujhe wo
Lag rahe hain haseen

Tere aane par jaana maine
Kahin na kahin zinda hoon main
Jeene lagaa ab ye fizaayein
Chehre ko chhooti hawaayein

Inki tarah do kadam toh badha le
Sookhi padi dil ki iss zameen ko bhiga de
O.. hoon akela, zara haath badha de
Sookhi padi dil ki iss zameen ko bhiga de

Ajay Devgn was the obvious choice for Drishyam, says Nishikant Kamat!

Nishikant Kamat, who has helmed forthcoming suspense thriller Drishyam, which is the remake of a popular Tamil film, told that when it came to casting, Ajay Devgn was the clear choice for the role of the protagonist Vijay Salgaonkar.

Talking about approaching Devgn for the role, Kamat told, ''When it came to casting, Ajay was the obvious choice for the role because we wanted an actor in his 40s, who could convincingly play a family man and also, we needed an actor, who could emote with his eyes and was intense. Ajay fit the bill perfectly.''

Drishyam, which also stars Tabu, revolves around a family man and the steps he takes to ensure the safety of his family when a tragedy strikes. The movie is slated to release on July 31.

AbRam enjoys comfort in his arms of his elder brother Aryan!

While it's quite clear that Shah Rukh Khan can't get enough of his youngest son AbRam, it seems that the entire Khandaan is completely smitten by the little one.

All eyes were on Shah Rukh Khan's eldest son Aryan Khan, when he stepped out of the airport carrying his little brother in his arms, as they returned from their family vacation in London. Unnecessary to say, the paparazzi went crazy to capture this adorable moment. AbRam looked very comfortable in his big brother's protective arms and sat on his lap even when they got inside their car.

Also accompanying them was their mother Gauri Khan and sister Suhana.

There is nothing in Guddu Rangeela that can hurt religious sentiments, says Subhash Kapoor!

Subhash Kapoor, whose forthcoming film Guddu Rangeela has courted controversy after its song Mata ka e-mail rubbed right-wing outfits the wrong way, has finally broken his silence on the subject.

Talking about the issue, Kapoor told, ''Guddu Rangeela is not a religious movie. It's a masala entertainer with a message. There is nothing in the film that can hurt anybody's religious sentiments. The film is certified by the Censor Board and I request people to see the film when it releases and then come to their own conclusions."

For those who do not know this, the makers have been threatened that if they do not remove the song from the movie, they would risk facing dire consequences, including disruption at theatres during the screening of the movie. Lately in Ludhiana, there were demonstrations held demanding a ban to be put on the film and posters of the movie were set ablaze.

Guddu Rangeela, which stars Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy, is set to release on July 3.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's unique birthday gift for Ranveer Singh!

Ranveer Singh has not only gone bald for his character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani but has also moved out of his family home to stay closer to the film's sets and it seems that his devotion towards the project has won Bhansali's heart.

Ranveer, who has devoted a complete year to the movie, will be turning 30 on July 6 and the actor requested the filmmaker to give him a four-day break to celebrate the day with his family. Sanjay, who is very glad with Singh's work, politely agreed and now, the actor will travel out of the city with his family to ring in his birthday.

A source close to the actor discloses, ''He will travel out of the city with his family to ring in his birthday. Before he takes time off though he is working round the clock to ensure that the elaborate shoot of this magnum opus doesn't suffer.''

Wonder if his ladylove and Bajirao Mastani co-star Deepika Padukone too will take a break to join his birthday celebrations.

The first look of Abhishek, Asin, Rishi and Supriya from All Is Well!

A couple of days after inauguration Abhishek Bachchan's look from forthcoming movie All Is Well, the makers of the film disclosed the looks of the other actors in the film today.

Apart from Bachchan Jr, the film also stars Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak and going by their attire, the actors seem to be playing characters from a middle-class North Indian family. Rishi Kapoor's body language and scowl suggests that he plays a grumpy father while Supriya Pathak looks confused and clueless. For those who do not know this, All Is Well revolves around a father-son relationship.

Directed by Umesh Shukla (of OMG Oh My God fame), All Is Well is slated to release on August 21.

Ranbir to play the Bollywood version of the Human Torch!

It has already been informed that Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's superhero project and we have information that Kapoor's character might bear similarities to 'Human Torch', the superhero from the Fantastic Four series by Marvel Comics.

A close source reveals that after brainstorming a lot about what superpower their protagonist can have, the team finally decided on the ability to emit and manipulate fire as the best superpower for their character to have. Readers might remember that Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) from the Fantastic Four series also possesses the ability to control fire, allowing him to project fire from his body.

The movie, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role, is expected to go on floors by February 2016.

Shahid Kapoor's 'Shaandaar' to be released on Dussehra this year!

Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen starring opposite each other for the very first time in forthcoming movie Shaandaar and Karan Johar, the co-producer of the film, lately revealed the release date of the movie on his Twitter page.

Taking to Twitter, Johar wrote that Shaandaar, which has been directed by Vikas Bahl and stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Pankaj Kapur, is slated to release on October 22 this year.

Shaandaar is seemingly set against the backdrop of a destination wedding. Apart from Shaandaar, Shahid and Alia will also be paired opposite each other in forthcoming movie Udta Punjab.

Actress Vidya Balan set to play Indira Gandhi!

Director Manish Gupta, of Rahasya fame, has approached Vidya Balan to play former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her biopic.

Manish has confirmed the reports and has disclosed that though Vidya has liked the script, she's a bit skeptical to say yes as the movie, which has been titled Indira, is on Mrs. Gandhi. Though Gupta is yet to take approval from the Gandhi family, he says that the biopic will be a 'tell-all tale' about Indira Gandhi — right from her birth to her assassination.

Manish has been quoted telling that he has been in touch with Sonia Gandhi since the past eight months to get her approval, as every actor whom he has approached for the film, wants a written permission before they give their nod of approval.

Gupta tells that he has read nearly 26 books about the former PM and as expected there will be no singing and dancing in the movie. If Manish is to be believed, then a very big studio wants to produce the film, though he has refrained from taking any names.

Sonakhi Sinha's new passion for kick away stress!

Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently busy with A.R. Murugadoss' forthcoming movie Akira, has now found a new stress buster. The actress is learning to play drums these days and she's not only enjoying her new hobby but she also claims that it helps her to kick stress away.

Talking about her new passion, Sinha told, "I've always wanted to learn how to play the drums but never ended up doing so. When I was in school I expressed this desire to my mom but she said drums are too noisy and will take up space etc so learn the guitar. I learnt the guitar for a while but lost interest eventually. When I had time off to train for Akira the desire to learn the drums came back and I said it's now or never and got myself a drum kit."

Sinha will play the titular role in Akira, which is the Hindi remake of 2011 Tamil hit Mounaguru.

Director : Remo D'Souza
Cast : Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Lauren Gottlieb, Prabhudheva, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak,Dharmesh Yelande
Lyricist : Mayur Puri

After the success of his 2013 dance based film, Anybody Can Dance (ABCD), Choreographer turned Director Remo D'Souza has come up with its sequel appropriately titled ABCD 2 which stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. The original had a wonderful soundtrack with some of the songs like Bezubaan being popular even today and also proved to be a major turning point for Composers Sachin-Jigar. There is also a general inquisitiveness as to how the sequel’s soundtrack will fare when compared with its predecessor. Not to mention that this being a dance based movie, one expects some foot tapping numbers which should get the listener grooving! With Mayur Puri once again in charge of the lyrics, one expects this super hit team to deliver yet again.

The album begins with Bezubaan Phir. The composers give the listeners Bezubaan Phir Se which is as good, if not a shade better than the original! And the man who makes it possible is composer-singer Vishal Dadlani who raps and sings so self-confidently that one is immediately hypnotized. Taking over from Priya Panchal and Mohit Chauhan, Dadlani along with Anushka Manchanda and Madhav Krishna goes all out to make this dance number unforgettable.

The next one is Sun Saathiya that has been sung by Priya Saraiya and Divya Kumar. The video has already attracted attention for Shraddha Kapoor’s eye-catching dance moves, but what makes it even more special is Priya Saraiya’s emotional rendition. Hardly do we see Divya Kumar playing second fiddle to his female counterpart, but here in Sun Saathiya, the singer lets Priya take the lead and is content to support her from the sides. Saraiya makes full use of the opportunity and lets her honey soaked vocals do the talking and the end result is just superb!

The next Chunar is another lovely song from Sachin-Jigar and the ever trustworthy Arijit is the chosen man for this job. Arijit brings out the pain and longing in Mayur Puri’s lyrics beautifully and Sachin-Jigar provide the flawless platform with their arrangement which is largely Hindustani with just the occasional hint of Western flavor. A gorgeous track which is sure to touch your heart, Chunar is a winner for sure!

The next is Happy Birthday which has been sung by the composers themselves along with D. Soldierz (who has also written the lyrics) with an intro from Varun Dhawan. The lyrics are crazy but do not really matter given the genre of the track. The tune though is quite lively and foot tapping and it is accurately for that reason that this track will be one of the most sought after ones in parties and discos.

The song If You Hold My Hand reminds one of the several boy band tracks which usually have the teenagers and youngsters swooning over but does not have any impact otherwise. Benny Dayal’s singing though salvages this romantic pop track to some extent but that’s about it. It is average song.

The next song Hey Ganaraya is Shambhu Sutaya revamped but is more classical oriented especially towards the end where there is a lot of frenzied beats. Divya Kumar is pitch flawless with his rendition and the composers have yet again shown that they can make a devotional song interesting.

The song Happy Hour is quite average in this album. Mika Singh puts his drawling vocals to work again but the composition despite incorporating eclectic sounds just fails to impress.

The next is Naach Meri Jaan. The fast paced music provides lot of scope for some lively and pulverizing dance moves but as a stand-alone track, the tune is strictly average. The singers (Benny Dayal, Shefali Alvares, Siddharth Basrur, Rimi Nique and Shalmali Kholgade) do their best with their energetic rendition but are unfortunately led down by a run-of-the-mill composition.

The song Tattoo has fun and danceable beats and is well sung by Shefali Alvares. It is a fun and light number and its attractive tune will make it a party hit during the film’s run in theatres.

The last track in this album is the slightly nationalistic Vande Mataram. The composition sounds to be the one for the final dance sequence in the movie and should have a better impact on-screen. But as a stand-alone track, this one is not exactly an easy listen due to the cocktail of heavy duty dance beats and the overdose of patriotism which unfortunately fails to move the listener.

Overall, the soundtrack of ABCD 2 is a good mix of assorted genres with the common theme of dance binding them. Composers Sachin-Jigar’s effort is quite praiseworthy. The songs Bezubaan Phir Se, Sun Saathiya, Chunar and Happy Birthday are melodious and worthy to listen.

Release Date : 12 June 2015
Banner : Vishesh Films, Fox Star Studios
Producer : Mukesh Bhatt
Director : Mohit Suri
Cast : Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur
Music Director : Jeet Ganguly, Mithoon, Ami Mishra
Lyricist : Sayeed Quadri, Rashmi Virag, Kunaal Varmaa
Genre : Drama

Again Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan come together onscreen for the third time in Mohit Suri directed Hamari Adhuri Kahani which incidentally is supposed to be based on the true life love story of Director Mahesh Bhatt’s parents. It goes without telling that there is quite a bit of hopes from the music of this movie since one expects nothing but the best from Vishesh Films, particularly in the music department. Director Mohit Suri has always showed a great musical sense, one can expect a musical bonanza in the offing! Musical credits have been shared between Composers Jeet Ganguly and Mithoon and Ami Mishra whereas the lyrics have been provided Rashmi Virag, Sayeed Quadri and Kunal Vermaa. Astonishingly enough, the album is a very short one with only four tracks in it and coming from Vishesh Films, it surely looks to be an exception.

The album begins with title song Hamari Adhuri Kahani opens the album and by the way comes in two versions in the album. The first version is sung by Golden Boy Arijit and he does not let us down as usual. Arijit’s vocals manage to convey the poignancy in Rashmi Virag’s lyrics strikingly and one cannot help but feel for the emotional trauma of the lead characters in the movie. Jeet’s composition is first rate and the fact that the arrangement (piano, flute and the violin), in itself, speaks to the listener is the Composer’s biggest success apart from the excellent crescendo of course! Composer Jeet manages to spring another surprise on you, this time around with his vocals, in the second version of the track. Though this track might not be on par with the composer-singer’s other previous super hit musical collaborations, this is a song which apart from being a stunning composition, blends in with the film impeccably.

In the next song Mithoon comes in with Humnava, a soothing melody which takes its time to grow on the listener. He chooses Papon for vocalizing this track which proves to be a masterstroke indeed since this slow yet appealing track, needed a singer of Papon’s caliber to lift it to a different level altogether. Sayeed Quadri’s verses fit in well with the mood and setting of the track and Papon does total justice to both the lyrics and the music.

In the next song, composer Ami Mishra makes a decent debut in Hindi films with Hasi Ban Gaye which also comes in two versions in the soundtrack. The first version has been rendered by Mishra himself and the composer-singer does a suitable job behind the mike though the nasal twang is a slight put-off. The composition is a pleasing melody and is quite appealing. Kunaal Vermaa’s lyrics are simple and sweet yet touching and heart-warming. The second version is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and the lady brings it on herself to lift this tune to greater heights with her lilting vocals. And she does that brilliantly with the result that despite the shortcomings of the male version, the female version wins you over and makes this track yet another winner from this album.

The last track Yeh Kaisi Jagah sees composer Jeet Ganguly trying a little bit of fusion with a largely western arrangement interspersed with semi-classical male background vocals with pleasing results. As has been the norm in this album, the singer is again the USP of this track with Deepali Sathe bringing in the much needed freshness to this somber melody and also, lest we forget, the uncredited male background vocalist who also makes an impression with his expertise over the classical bit.

Overall, the soundtrack of Hamari Adhuri Kahani is yet another instance of Quality winning over Quantity. Though the album does put you in a thoughtful mood with all the songs being quite high on the emotional measure, it still is an album which surely deserves a place on chartbuster. The songs like Hamari Adhuri Kahaani and Hasi Ban Gaye are tuneful and melodious.

I won’t promote the film Jagga Jasoos: Govinda

We had lately reported that Amitabh Bachchan was approached by Anurag Basu to join the cast of his next movie Jagga Jasoos which features Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. This came as a surprise because previously the only popular name associated with the movie apart from the lead pair was that of Govinda. There were murmurs that the Big B was brought in to replace Govinda.

We hear that Govinda, commonly known as 'Chi-Chi' is upset with the makers as they did not clarify things on his behalf. The actor tells that he has only done a friendly guest appearance in the movie but was upset that when Amitabh Bachchan's name was added to the mix, the makers did not offer any explanation. He is not in a good mood and tells that he may forgive but he will never forget. And for this reason, he has told that he won't promote the movie as no one should make money by defaming him.

Last year, Govinda worked in two movies- Happy Ending and Kill Dil and both movies tanked at the box office, but he isn't nervous because he tells that he has received a lot of praise for his part. Things have been better for him off late as he has signed a whopping nine movies and will kick start two home productions as well.

Why is R. Madhavan disappointed?

He comes across as a very sociable person whether on-screen or off-screen. Well it seems that something has made our Mr. Congeniality - Maddy aka R. Madhavan mad. What is it that has upset him? you may be wondering.

Seemingly, Maddy was in Malaysia where he had gone for the 2015 IIFA Awards and could not attend the success bash of his recent blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This seems to have upset the actor.

Maddy took to his Twitter handle and posted:

Argghhhhhhh missed the success Bash of @TWMR LAST Night.... Sooo much fun and I was stuck in Malaysia.... Arggghhhhhhhhhhh

Tanu Weds Manu Returns has already grossed over 125 crore as per trade reports. To celebrate the success of the movie, its team threw a party in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Maddy was unable to make it for the party due to which the actor seemed to be a bit saddened.
