Ali expressed his enthusiasm at being in a movie that he thought all parents ought to take their girls to see. Regarding his collaboration with Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the actor stated, “The story being so inspiring, it was no surprise that Phoebe also stepped in. Of course she is a powerhouse of talent so her addition am sure has lifted the film to greater heights.”

Ali also alluded to their roles in the film. He revealed, "We play key roles at different stages in Roya Mahboob’s life and journey along with the Afghani robotics team for girls."

Rule Breakers is produced by Angel Studios and directed by two-time Academy Award winner Bill Guttentag. The film explores the themes of resilience and defiance in Afghanistan. It is slated for release in theaters in March 2025.

International productions like Victoria & Abdul and Death on the Nile are also part of Ali Fazal's oeuvre.

Ali and his wife, Richa Chadha, welcomed their first child together in July 2024. The couple revealed the daughter's name in a recent interview with a tabloid: Zuneyra Ida Fazal.

Rohit Shetty’s hints for Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham in a stand-alone film!

Rohit Shetty, director of Singham Again, recently talked about the next stand-alone movie that stars Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham in his popular Cop Universe.

Singham Again, the latest Cop Universe edition featured a number of both new and old characters. Deepika Padukone introduced Lady Singham, also known as Shakti Shetty. Deepika's part in the standalone film has now been updated by director Rohit Shetty. He admitted that he was still not sure how to proceed with their concept.

In a recent press conference, Rohit Shetty explained why it took so long for a female police officer to appear in his fictitious world. He disclosed that he was waiting on the right script for the character. He even went so far as to predict that the Cop Universe won't be around in 2018. While filming Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar, Rohit said he had the notion to feature a female police officer.

According to Rohit, work is still ongoing on the script for the Deepika Padukone stand-alone film. He disclosed, “We do have a concept in mind, but we don’t know where we can go with it.” The filmmaker added that it would take time.

Regarding Shakti Shetty, Rohit disclosed, “I know what the character will be like and her basic story arc, but I don’t know her whole journey yet as a director or writer.”

He asserted that a film featuring Lady Singham would have surely been produced had she not been introduced to the universe. Rohit claims that there was a reason why her involvement in the most recent movie, Singham Again, was given so much attention.

In 2023, Rohit Shetty made Deepika Padukone's first appearance as Lady Singham public.

He penned in the caption, “NAARI SITA KA BHI ROOP HAI AUR DURGA KA BHI... (Woman is the form of Sita and also of Durga). MEET THE MOST BRUTAL AND VIOLENT OFFICER OF OUR COP UNIVERSE... SHAKTI SHETTY... MY LADY SINGHAM... DEEPIKA PADUKONE.”

The cast of Singham Again also includes Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Ajay Devgn. The film is now playing in theaters.

Celebs’s concert for COVID 19!

Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, filmmakers like Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar bring together celebs such as Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and a few others for a fundraiser to raise funds for COVID 19 and pay tribute to the hard work of the front line workers. Both raise funds for Give India Foundation and support those who are displaced by the novel Coronavirus.

As per media conjectures, Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Anushka Sharma, among others will come together to perform and help Karan and Zoya raise funds and pay tribute to the frontline workers. Karan and Zoya have been coordinating with the actors for a week and the actors have been asked to share individual acts not more than four minutes. Since all of us are home and in quarantine, actors will be recording their acts from their respective homes and sending across their acts to Zoya and Karan, who in turn, will put together everything for the fund raiser.

As per media news, the fund raiser concert will be close to two hours, and the variety show will feature singing, dancing, speeches and other stand up acts.

In addition, comedian Kapil Sharma, too, will be part of the fund raiser. Other celebs like Arijit Singh, Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar, Pritam, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Ehsan Loy and other composers will be performing on their hit songs and Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, and Asha Bhosle will join and give motivation speeches urging people to stay united amidst the crisis. Not just this, Karan and Zoya have managed to bring Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and other big names who will give interact with their admirers during the concert.

Speaking about the concert, it will be aired on Facebook to raise funds across the globe through the Facebook Donate button. Also, Will Smith, and Jonas Brothers, Bryan Adams, too, have been roped in and they will be putting up a special act.

Taking to his Twitter page, Khan unveiled  a still in which his character Aryan Khanna is seen chasing his lookalike Gaurav Chandana on a bike and posted, ''I hope I catch up with me one day….or not. But will keep trying. ''Ab Star Fan ke peeche bhaagega!!!'' Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan revolves around a lookalike of a megastar, who gets obsessed with the star and disrupts his life after being rebuffed by him.

Fan is slated to release on April 15.

Honey Singh spills the beans on his disappearance from the public eye!

Famous rapper Honey Singh, who had vanished from the public view for around 18 months, finally made a comeback in public at a latest event, where he also announced his first ever Punjabi movie as a solo lead.

Singh also spilled the beans on his disappearance and told that contrary to rumors about him being locked away in a rehab centre, he was holed up in his Noida house as he was suffering from bipolar disorder, which was aggravated because of his addiction to alcohol. Singh confessed that he was in a bad space during those 18 months as medication was not working for him and he had to change around four doctors in that period. Singh also disclosed that he wrote over 50 poems, which he intends to publish someday.

Also disparaging reports of his fallout with Shah Rukh Khan, Honey told that the King Khan used to call him up frequently during his darkest phase to enquire about his health.

As a kid, I hardly used to get to celebrate my birthday, reveals Aamir Khan!

Aamir Khan, who turned 51 yesterday, celebrated the day with members of the media and his family members, but Mr. Perfectionist surprised us by disclosing that as a kid, he barely used to get to celebrate his birthday.

In a media interaction, when asked to share his childhood memories of his birthday, Aamir told, ''In fact, if you guys remember, March used to be the month of exams and studies and as a kid, I would hardly get to celebrate my birthdays as I used to be busy with my exams and would often keep postponing celebrations.''

Aamir will be next seen playing Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in his forthcoming movie Dangal, which releases this Christmas.

Sunny Deol, who wowed his fans with his intense action scenes in Ghayal Once more, seems to be keen to reprise another of his iconic characters on the silver screen.

In Rajkumar Santoshi's Damini, Sunny had played the role of a cynical lawyer named Govind, who makes a comeback to court to fight for the rights of a persecuted woman and Deol feels that his character Govind is still significant today. In an interview, Sunny told that he lately met some lawyers, who told him about some case that they were fighting despite all odds and interacting with them made Sunny realize that a film featuring his character Govind can be made now too.

Sunny is still remembered for his iconic dialogue about his dhai kilo ka haath from the movie.

Seemingly, Mirziya, which is a contemporary take on Mirza-Sahiba's tragic love story, is slated to release on October 7 this year. The movie has been mostly shot in Ladakh and Rajasthan.

You can take a Hindi film actor out of Bollywood, but you cannot take Bollywood out of a Hindi film actor, which was lately proved by Sonu Sood, who will make his international debut with Indo-Chinese endeavor Kung Fu Yoga starring Jackie Chan.

Sources claim that Sood wanted a Bollywood style song in the movie and the actor convinced Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong to have such a song in the movie. Though Chan and Tong were reluctant initially, Sood persuaded them by claiming that such a song will strike a chord with the Indian viewers.

The song, which will feature Chan, Sood and Amyra Dastur, will be reportedly shot in Jodhpur and China.

Big B to play a Lawyer in Shoojit Sircar's 'Pink'!

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be teaming up with much-admired director Shoojit Sircar for a movie titled Pink, will be reportedly seen playing a lawyer in the movie.

Taking to his Twitter page, the Big B uploaded his look as a lawyer from the movie and posted, ''I am but a lone voice in the corridors of what many see as ...'' The film, which is supposed to revolve around a social issue, also stars Taapsee Pannu.

Karan Johar’s 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' clashes with Ajay's 'Shivaay' on coming Dusshehra!

Bollywood is all set to see some fireworks en route the festive season, what with both Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn making brisk progress towards completion of their Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay respectively. Now in his Koffee With Karan chat on Twitter, Karan has further confirmed that he certainly plan to bring on his story about 'unrequited love' this Dusshehra and is in mood to change the release date.

"Yes, during the chat when a person warned him to 'run away from the scene' since Shivaay was arriving, Karan made a clear statement that read 'I never run! I walk tall...join me' (sic). The message was loud and clear here," reveals an observer.

This means that unless Ajay changes his arrival for Shivaay, the clash is on.

"It would be quite lethal though as both the biggies are multi-crore affairs," tells a trade insider, "Shivaay has been a dream project for Ajay and he has been shooting extensively in Bulgaria for the movie. The fact that he is returning as a director with this one makes the movie even bigger. On the other hand Karan has brought together Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan andAnushka Sharma for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and it is an important film for all involved. This is set to be love story of a different kind."

Both movies belong to different genres though and that brings some relief. But, both movies being biggies mean that the number of screens would have to be divided between the two.

Krishika Lulla's Marathi sci-fi experiment with Phuntroo!

A Marathi sci-fi flick Phuntroo that is set in a campus, the film is an urban tale of a youngster who finds love in the most unexpected of places. The film has released this weekend and has managed to find good critical and commercial response coming its way. Directed by Sujay Dahake, the film marks the entry of producer Krishika Lulla into the world of Marathi movies.

"This is a new market for me as a sci-fi romantic love story and that too in Marathi has never been seen before. There is good 45 minutes of VFX in the film," tells Krishika, who has films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns, NH10 and Raanjhanaa to her credit as a producer, "A lot of hard work has gone into making the film."

The film stars Madan Deodhar and Ketaki Mategaonkar, popular names in Marathi cinema and has a unique stage, setting and story as its strengths.

"Making a film in Marathi is very different from telling the same story in Bollywood," Krishika adds, "You need to understand Marathi audience and gauge what is it that they like or dislike. Like for example they don't like Hindi words mixed in dialogues or even songs. We had to go through a different vision in order to make Phuntroo reachable for the Marathi audience. It was very challenging, more so since nothing like this has been ever attempted in Marathi cinema before."

Krishika is also gearing up for the release of her next Marathi film which is fascinatingly titled & Zara Hatke. This isn't all as she is currently also busy with her two Hindi films - Banjo (Riteish Deshmukh,Nargis Fakhri) and Happy Bhaag Jaayegi (Abhay Deol, Diana Penty).

Arjun Kapoor will be next seen romancing Kareena Kapoor Khan in R. Balki's Ki And Ka. The actor will play a househusband in the peculiar and fun movie and recently, when he was asked who according to him would make a good househusband, he took Varun Dhawan's name.

When Varun was asked to remark on Arjun's statement, he told, ''Arjun said that about me… I have no plans of getting married right now and I don't know why Arjun is spreading this rumour about me. Arjun, I think you need to get married buddy.''
