Bollywood actress Malaika Arora who turned 44 years old lately is chilling like a boss on her birthday. She has gifted herself a vacation this year. Taking to Instagram, Malaika shared a few pictures of herself and we can’t help but get envious.

Malaika checked into Dubai's Jumeirah Al Naseem resort and is presently having the time of her life. She has been accompanied by her friends for the vacation. Malaika posted a drop dead gorgeous photo of herself and captioned it, “My kinda bday soak in the sun n love .... @jumeirahalnaseem#discoveralnaseem."

Malaika Arora’s recommendation helped Deepika to get Om Shanti Om?

Actress Deepika Padukone has come a long way in the film Industry; she will complete a decade in the industry this year. Deepika debuted with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om in 2007 and has since then achieved global recognition, fame and stupendous success. Deepika also debuted in Hollywood with Vin Diesel previously this year. She is one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood and is paid more than the male leads in her next, Padmavati.

Deepika’s achievement story is not only inspirational but also quite unique. She started out as a model and worked in a music video before she got her big break with megastar Shah Rukh Khan. First-rate Fashion designer Wendell Rodricks was instrumental in endorsing Deepika for Om Shanti Om. Deepika was the show opener of Wendell’s show Isadora. He had specified, “I showed a collection called Isadora at Lakmé Fashion Week...it was a game changer for Deepika. Director Farah Khan asked my friend Malaika to suggest a new model to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan for her new film. Om Shanti Om did not have a working title at the time. I suggested Deepika who was barely two years into modelling. I made her open the show and told Malaika that the first girl I was sending out was the one I recommend. Malaika liked her, conveyed the same to Farah and a screen test was done. The rest is history."

On the film front, Deepika will be playing the role of Queen Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film. She has also signed a film with Irrfan Khan that will go on floors next year. 

No KHAN surname for Malaika Arora now!

After a heavenly relationship of 18 years, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan mutually ended their marriage on May 11.

Now, since the pair is officially divorced, Malaika Arora no longer wants to use the “Khan” surname.

As per to a famous daily, Mailaika was invited as a chief guest for an event in Vadodara lately and her chair was tagged with her name on it as “Malaika Arora Khan.”

It is being stated that the actress was not happy with the entire situation and asked the organisers to remove the “Khan” from her name.

The organisers made the required changes and rectified the mistake. But, it’s strange that her social media handles still have her name as Malaika Arora Khan.

The couple had tied the knot in 1998 and filed for a divorce in November 2016 through mutual consent. Initially, there were rumours that they might reconcile and Arbaaz’s family wanted that too but it didn’t happen. They continue to remain on cordial terms till today.

Malaika has got the physical custody of their 14-year-old son, Arhaan, Arbaaz has been granted access to them whenever he wants.

During an interview to a magazine, Malaika had described their love story and we couldn't stop gushing over it. "I was shooting for the MR coffee ad with Arbaaz Khan. The slogan for the ad was ‘Real pleasure can’t come in an instant’. The slogan and the ad became a huge controversy because it had a lot of sexual undertones. But Arbaaz and I got along really well at the shoot. I had a boyfriend in my life at that time and Arbaaz, too, was seeing someone, but all the same, we exchanged telephone numbers and every day we talked on the phone. A month later, we finally went out on an official date."

She further added, "Our relationship developed gradually from friendship to love. I was very sure about him and after five years of dating, we got married on December 12, 1998. I was 23 then and it’s been 20 years of togetherness for us!"

Speaking about her love and wedding, Malaika had told, "Love and marriage sound like a fairy tale but they aren’t. Once it happens to you, you come back to ground reality. I trouble Arbaaz at times and say I got married too early… I should have had more boyfriends. He was literally my first love, my first serious boyfriend."

Sussanne, Malaika and Bipasha become wild in wild animal prints!

Bollywood celebs Sussanne Roshan, Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora Khan are having a blast with fashion. They are seen here posing with their new collection and are rocking it, by the looks of it. Sussanne is busy with her career in interior decoration and fashion. The ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan is living the decent life, managing between her successful career and her two adorable sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Malaika, who has also separated from hubby Arbaaz Khan, is spending her time focusing on her career and partying with her girl gang that includes sis Amrita, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Seema Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Maheep Kapoor among others. 

Bipasha on the other side, just returned from Goa, where she celebrated her first wedding anniversary with hubby Karan Singh Grover. The fitness enthusiast had shared an emotional post on her social networking handle saying, "On this special day of ours...our first wedding anniversary- sharing a bit of us and our journey with all of you who love us and all of you who believe in soulmates and true love. #monkeylove #loveyourself."

Numerous Bollywood celebs like Shekhar Kapur, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan have sturdily condemned the molestation of women on New Year's day in Bangalore. Added to it was the shocking incident that came to light on Tuesday night when a video footage captured by a CCTV camera showed a young woman being molested on the streets as passersby stood and watched.

The crime grew further when certain politicians blamed the girls for wearing 'Western' clothes. Malaika Arora Khan so took to Instagram to share a deep and chilling message, which effectively conveys her thoughts on the issue. Read on...

"So, I went out with my girlfriends to party on the crowded streets of a Metropolitan city, they came out in large numbers and molested us...... But my safety is my responsibility so... The next time I went to a discotheque, it was enclosed and had bouncers, they came into the place and beat us up and ripped our clothes off.......But my safety is my responsibility so.... I went to a movie with a Male friend for company, they pushed me into a bus and shoved an iron rod inside my privates.......But my safety is my responsibility, so...... I went to my college, fully clad in a "decent" salwaar kameez, they caught me around a corner and squeezed my bum......But my safety is my responsibility, so...... I decided to stay at home in the comfort of my own house, they broke down the door, tied me up and videotaped the things they made me do with them.......But my safety is my responsibility, so...... I went back to live with my family feeling safe and secure with them, they were my uncles but they didn't think of me as their niece when they made me take off my clothes and have their way with me.......But my safety is my responsibility, so....... These days I sit in the bathroom, locked tight, not coming out at all. They stand on the terrace opposite to it peeking in through the bathroom window, but I don't take a bath.......because my safety is my responsibility....... Now, they have me exactly where they have always wanted me, my spirit broken, my ability to fight back gone, my will to do something destroyed.....at their mercy.....still stuck in the bathroom.....dreading the time when the knocking starts on the door as they come to get me here too."

No divorce plans for Malaika and Arbaaz!

Bollywood star couple Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan have been together for 18 years but there was trouble in their heaven this year, as according to a close source, Malaika had told that the couple was separated and figuring things out.

She even moved out of their house with her son. After that, there were rumors of divorce as the two had consulted an esteemed lawyer of the family court Kranti Sathe. Post Diwali, the two were expected to file the papers.

But, in latest developments, a source from the Bandra court has told that the couple has put down their divorce plans. Rumour has it, the couple has succumbed to their families' pressure and will not file for divorce anytime soon!
