Harshvardhan Kapoor’s career began with two flops so it’s easy to see why he’s taking his time preparing for his biopic about the Olympic champ Abhinav Bindra.

Anil’s eklauta beta started learning how to shoot last year at a shooting range that has been specially set up for his training. Now he’s also begun sitting in on meetings with VFX and prosthetics specialists to figure out how to make his character look realistic as he ages from 15 to 35. Let’s hope all of Harsh’s hard work pays off when the film comes out!

Koffee With Karan 6’s latest episode had the Kapoor siblings on the couch. It was great and candid. We got to know Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Harshvardhan Kapoor up close. While sisters Sonam and Rhea are frank, brother Harshvardhan is a little shy and introvert. It was Harsh’s debut on the Koffee show but the way he played the rapid fire round, it was spot on and surely was a shock for the spectators. He was honest and quite candid. He left no question unanswered. Later, he won the hamper too for his honesty.

When Karan Johar questioned Harshvardhan who does he see as Leela to his Ram and he answered, Suhana Khan. Yes, Harshvardhan wants Suhana to play Leela if he were to play Ram. Not just this, the attention-grabbing part was when Karan questioned him what he wants from the following actors that he doesn’t have. When questioned about Ranbir, Harsh promptly told Alia Bhatt. Earlier, he was quiet but when it came to being asked anything, he made sure that he answers it back and with complete honesty.

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor is a proud father of three children - Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Harshvardhan Kapoor. All three of them are doing quite well in their lives, and papa Anil is really proud of them.

Sonam and Rhea had lately collaborated for the movie Veere Di Wedding, which was a super hit. Talking about it to a daily, Anil revealed, "Whether a film does well or not is a completely different matter. Some will do well and others won’t. But what’s important is that this film, Veere Di Wedding, mein dum hai. They - Sonam and Rhea - know their job. All three, including son Harshvardhan Kapoor, are trying to do something new and out-of-the-box. They are daring, gutsy and not doing run-of-the-mill stuff."

He further added, "Be it Rhea as a producer/stylist or Sonam and Harsh as actors, I am happy that they know their work. They have a standing of their own. Till date, I haven’t had to make or plan a film for them. They always get work from elsewhere. It’s not as if I launched my son or daughter. Even I haven’t worked in any of my home productions to date. We have given money to others from our own pocket (smiles)."

Harshvardhan Kapoor opens up about coming from a family of celebs!

Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Kapoor has always walked on the different path. He debuted in the Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya and his second movie in which he plays the role of a vigilante, Bhavesh Joshi Supehero released lately.

Coming from a family of celebs, Harshvardhan Kapoor was questioned in a latest media chat with a tabloid, if he seeks his family member’s advice. He revealed, “Sonam is in her own world, and she’s done all kinds of films. But I also think it’s easier sometimes for a heroine to fit in a lot of films…for example, a Padman is not driven by her, right? So she doesn’t have to be there for a 100 days. Heroines can be more free. For me now, the whole film will hinge on my shoulders…So, I don’t really take advice from her. Rhea’s a producer. She has more marketing feedback as opposed to creative feedback with script and stuff. Our films (Bhavesh Joshi and Veere di Wedding) are releasing on the same day, so she’s too busy and she couldn’t help us.”

He also revealed that father Anil Kapoor does not agree with his selections. “When he read the script of Mirzya, he was very scared because he said it’s too abstract. But I was too passionate about it. Bhavesh Joshi I told him I want to do before Mirzya released. He said don’t do it, wait for Mirzya to release. Thank god I didn’t listen to him. It’s like a constant battle in a way,” Harsh told.

He also told that things have changed since his father’s debut in movies. He said, “He wanted to kind of build an empire for the family. It was about survival and stuff. I think my father’s time was very different. I think audiences are not as forgiving today.”

People are starved for new kind of films, reveals Harshvardhan Kapoor!

Bollywood’s newie Harshvardhan Kapoo is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie "Bhavesh Joshi Superhero", tells people are starved for new kind of movies.

Harshvardhan was here with director Vikramditya Motwane at a shopping mall here on Tuesday to promote the movie.

Questioned what kind of flicks he would like to feature in, the one-film-old actor revealed, "I think I am too new and I think this film will help me to reach out to more people. So, I am taking small steps. The idea is to try and do new films so that's a more challenging road. It's not always easy, but I think the audience is very intelligent and they want new films as they have seen same things so many times over and over again. I think as a young kid or guy, it's my responsibility to do new kind of films because I think people are starved of it. So that's what I am trying to do."

Harshvardhan Kapoor is considering joining the latest actor turned producer club.

The one-film old actor is in talks to star in and produce a horror movie that’ll be helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia of Miss Lovely and Daddy fame. Harsh believes that horror is a genre that hasn’t been given its due in Bollywood, and he’s looking at the flick as a chance to justify why scare fests aren’t just B-grade fare. With a superhero film and a sports biopic in his kitty, it looks like Harsh might also just want to diversify his portfolio!

Harshvardhan Kapoor to become a shooter now!

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan Kapoor who debuted in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya has signed his third movie. He will be playing the role of Olympic medalist Abhinav Bindra. Harshvardhan shared an image on his social media account and captioned it as, “Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend! Like the man himself said "Hard Work is a talent." #LetsDoThis”

About the movie, Harshvardhan had told to a famous tabloid, “The biopic is a big responsibility because of the subject matter. It is the most mammoth responsibility I’ve ever shouldered. I roped in Abhay, who wrote the final draft of Bhavesh Joshi, to work on a new draft of the Bindra biopic. We are taking the script into a really exciting place. It’s about externalising internal conflicts, and making it emotionally and visually spectacular.” Harshvardhan has already begun preparing for the film and he will be undergoing extensive training for the role.

Harshavardhan is presently working on Vikramditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi. The film is half-complete and remaining schedules will be shot soon.

Harshvardhan Kapoor may replace cousin Arjun Kapoor in Farzi!

Ever since the movie has been pronounced, Farzi has faced casting issues. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next movie has struggled to finalise a leading man. They had reached out to Shahid Kapoor for the lead role, but he had to pass it on because of his wedding and the filming of Rangoon. The makers had then zeroed in on Arjun Kapoor who had given his nod. But, now reports emerge that Arjun too has walked out of the film.

“Yes, we were in talks for Farzi with Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, but the talks were at initial stages, and they fell through. Then we got busy with the release of A Gentleman. Now, we are figuring out how to take things forward, and which actor to approach.” Nidimoru verified to a tabloid. It is being reported that Arjun Kapoor recommended cousin Harshvardhan Kapoor for this part. About this, the director told, “As far as casting Harsh is concerned, it is too early to talk about it.”

A source said to the tabloid, “Arjun was in talks for Farzi, until recently. But then the director duo's A Gentleman, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, released last week, and tanked at the box office. As reports started trickling in, Arjun felt that at this point in his career, it wouldn't be wise for him to act in a heist film. The Farzi project in case hadn't gone beyond an offer, and due to factors that didn't align, Arjun decided not to take it up. The film hadn't reached the monetary discussion stage either. Arjun is keen to do a rom-com like Namastey Canada, which he starts next year. He is also a producer's [Boney Kapoor] son, and doesn't like to keep anybody hanging. Arjun immediately recommended his cousin, 'Harsh baba' (Harshvardhan), as he calls him. The makers went to Harsh thereafter. The quirky subject is right up Harsh's alley."

Anil Kapoor becomes AK for his children!

Anil Kapoor is one of the coolest actors we have seen in Bollywood. His camaraderie with his co-stars and also with his family are a treat to one's eyes. Now, the veteran actor is all set to be seen alongside his nephew Arjun Kapoor in Mubarakan.

We recently caught up with Anil and asked him about his experience of working with his family. To which he replied, "Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, I know all of them since they were kids. So, I have a comfort level with all three of them. Especially Arjun, because he is my brother's son, he grew up in front of me. What I like about him is, he bonds very well with all his cousins and my children. Usually, sometimes what happens is, cousins, live separately in different cities, so it becomes difficult to bond. But now, everybody is living in the vicinity of Juhu, Lokhandwala, Bandra and Pali Hill. It's like one full gang and I am their eternal uncle/chacha."

Anil revealed an interesting fact about himself saying, "They don't call me uncle, they call me AK. Even my children call me AK, they call my wife Sunita, Sonu and not mom."

That's an interesting revelation, isn't it?

He further added, "I have been friendly with all these kids and it's great fun. It was amazing to work with Arjun and we always used to get along very well. Now, we have spent so much time together professionally."

Anil concluded by saying, "There are ups and downs in these kinds of situations when you are working with your relatives. We have to be very sensitive and we all are very careful."

Anil Kapoor’s backup for his son!

Anil Kapoor is set to co-produce the Abhinav Bindra biopic after Junglee Pictures backed out.

The veteran actor will leave no stone unturned so his beta Harshvardhan can impress as the Olympic gold-winning shooter in the film that will heavily focus on Abhinav’s relationship with his father Apjit. For those of you who don’t know this, Apjit built an international standard shooting range at the family home to help his son achieve his dream of Olympic glory. I get the feeling that Anil would do the same for Harsh!

Harshvardhan Kapoor wants me to work so that he can experiment, says Anil Kapoor!

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor is one proud father as his kids- both Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor are striving hard to leave their mark in the industry.

The doting father is also very happy with the kind of films Harshvardhan is choosing, however, maintains that he is also concerned for his son. Why?

In an interview to a famous magazine, Anil told, “I feel Harsh is still naive. For example, he’ll say no to very big filmmakers. I hope they understand that he really wants to work with them and means well, but he’s not ready to do those films. I wish he’d at least spoken to me before… But it’s fine… That’s his decision.”

But, Anil also repeated the fact that this won't affect his career because he has the option to explore and experiment, unlike him who had financial situations to handle.

“I was very rigid too. My second film was with Mani Ratnam. I was constantly meeting Shyam Benegal and Mrinal Sen. But there came a time when nobody cast me. I was desperate. Harsh is fortunate in that for his first two films he got to work with Rakeysh [Omprakash Mehra] and Vikramaditya [Motwane]. I would’ve loved to do my first two films with them. But I was in different economic strata and financial situation. So I had to make a few decisions that I didn’t necessarily want to,” Anil further added.

When Harsh was questioned about the kind of work he aspires to do, he told, “I don’t have to make ample amounts of money, and my films don’t have to make Rs. 200 crore. I’m really not interested in that. If it happens, that’s phenomenal. I’m just happy to have worked with two of the biggest directors around, and I don’t think you can put a price on that. I’m very clear about what I want. When people see my next filmBhavesh Joshi, I hope they like it. But the intention is to make a vigilante action film set in Bombay that you’ve never seen before.”

In a humorous conversation, Anil also exclaimed that Harsh wants him to work so that he [Harsh] can be experimental with his work.

During a chat with a magazine, Anil was questioned about both having different personalities, to which he told, "There’s a big difference between a regular father and son relationship and a father and son who are actors. I named him Harshvardhan because I never wanted him to be like me. We could’ve kept it Harsh Kapoor but I thought, 'Let’s name him Harsh-Vardhan so that Kapoor isn’t his only identity'."

Whereas, Harsh was questioned if he always has to try harder and he told, "I'm still so new; people haven't seen enough of me. But, nobody is making the choices that I am at my age. Some actors say, "I want to be the biggest star in the country" That's not my aim."

Speaking about his relationship with his three children - Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan, Anil specified, "Rhea and Harsh are like equals. With Sonam, there's a communication gap, maybe because we're similar. We connect emotionally, but we can’t sit and talk for hours."

On the film front, Anil Kapoor will soon be seen in Mubarakan along with his nephew Arjun Kapoor. Directed by Anees Bazmee, Mubarakan is set to hit the screens on July 28, 2017.

It’s a wrap up time for Harshvardhan Kapoor!

After debut in Mirzya last year, Harshvardhan Kapoor has pulled up his socks again and prepping up for his forthcoming movie, Bhavesh Joshi. The movie has been in making for the longest time now and has been in headlines for several reasons. Now, finally, the shoot is over. 

Harsh took to Instagram to share the news with all the viewers and posted, "It's a wrap at #BhaveshJoshi... Huge shout out to my director @vikramadityamotwane and the crew... Thank you so much for everything. And thank YOU guys for all the support and messages!"

In the video clip he shared, he told, "We have finally wrapped Bhavesh Joshi and the shoot is officially over and it's been an incredible experience. Almost 80 days of really really intense shoots - in raining, night and morning. It's just been very very tough and we have made this film with a lot of patience and fought everything possible to make this film."

Explaining a bit further, he added, "This is been the film that Vikram has been wanting to make from years and something we started talking about so long ago. To actually be through this journey with him and go through all the pain and to actually see it finally complete and see everybody's faces and everybody is happy and smiling, it's just so fantastic. Through this clip, I wanted to say thank you for all the support."

Kapoor also posted one wherein he is seen hugging the cast and crew of the movie and finally bidding a farewell. The video was captioned as, "Goodbyes... Until we meet again. #BhaveshJoshi."

Harshvardhan Kapoor shares a pic of his love but deletes it later!

Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor has been getting attentions ever since he made his big fat debut in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya last year. And though his debut movie didn't perform well at the box office, he did get noticed.

Presently the actor is shooting for Bhavesh Joshi. Amongst his professional promises, Harsh's personal life is always under the media scanner. While firstly there were rumors of the Kapoor guy dating actress Rhea Chakraborty, lately, reports of him being in a relationship with Saif Ali Khan's darling daughter Sara Ali Khan have been making the rounds.

Harsh was also spotted at Saif and Kareena's house in January this year, visibly making lot of heads turn with his attendance.

Adding some more fuel to the fire is this newest news that has gone viral. Fascinatingly, Harshvardhan posted a photo of a mystery girl on his Instagram account with a caption that read, "Find beauty in everyday life and let it inspire you. Don't forget to capture these frames and mark them as memories forever. You can always use your loved ones as subjects but keep them a mystery nonetheless."

A closer look at the snap and one realized that the mystery lady in the photo was none other than Sara Ali Khan. When the photograph went viral, Harsh decided to delete it, increasing the curio some more.

                                                                                                       

While we were speculating what's brewing between the two, a source close to the actor told us that there is nothing of that sort. The source slammed the news and told us that these rumors are baseless and some random people are running their imagination wild.

Harsh goes for Gold!

Anil Kapoor hasn’t shared screen space with his daughter Sonam yet in her 7-year-long career, but he’ll work with his son Harshvardhan a lot quicker than that!

The baap-beta jodi are in talks to play Apjit and Abhinav Bindra in a biopic about India’s first individual gold medallist at the Olympics. The film about the professional shooter will be directed by Kannan Iyer, who says it’ll be as much of a father-son story as it will be a tale of Abhinav’s achievements in the sport. This could be the making of Harsh.

When asked which present day actress he is looking forward to work with, Harsh told, "I would like to work with Alia Bhatt. She is a lot closer to my age. I'd also like to work with Priyanka Chopra, we are good friends and I am a huge fan. Deepika is very beautiful."

Harshvardhan Kapoor’s dissatisfaction over best debutant male award to Diljit Dosanjh!

Bollywood young actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, who made his debut in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya, seems to be mighty disappointed on losing out the Best Debutant Male trophy at the recently held Filmfare Awards.

Punjabi megastar Diljit Dosanjh bagged the award for his elusive yet powerful role in Udta Punjab that also starred Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead role.

In a communication with a famous daily, Harshvardhan expressed his dissatisfaction on losing out the copy. He told, "Although I picked up two debutant awards earlier, I was really looking forward to winning the black lady. But I guess every awards event has its own parameters. I'll be honest, though. I think a debutant award is meant for someone working on his first film. It shouldn't go to an actor who has worked in several films in another industry or language."

"For instance, if Leonardo DiCaprio works in a Hindi film, is he making an acting debut? He has already worked in so many Hollywood films," Harsh questions.

Now, Harshvardhan is gearing up for his second movie, Bhavesh Joshi. When asked about it, he told, "I am really excited about the film, because it is an interesting subject. There is a biopic on the cards too."

I'm the first one to admit that Mirzya was a flawed film, admits Harshvardhan Kapoor!

Harshvardhan Kapoor's debut movie Mirzya failed to strike a chord with the viewers. But, Kapoor guy is unperturbed by the failure. In a frank talk session with a famous tabloid, Harsh opened up Mirzya's failure and how he is moving on with it.

"To be honest, I wasn't expecting Mirzya to set the box office on fire. Obviously, it would have been nicer had it opened with slightly better numbers. It wasn't a commercial film and it's safe to say that now. Actually, you don't know what is mainstream and what is not until it's really put out there. I'm also in a way discovering the sensibilities of the audience as I go along."

Harshvardhan further included, "I'm not saying Mirzya was a perfect film. In fact, I'm the first one to admit that it was a flawed film. But most films are flawed. It was visually enchanting and musically stunning, though. And as newcomers, we didn't do anything glamorous or starry in it. I had dirt all over and sported a full grown beard. Rajasthani stable boys and warriors are like that. So, the learning is that you go from story to story. I understand people universally couldn't connect much with the movie. Some people liked it and they did let me know. My next with Vikramaditya Motwane is a lot more accessible in that sense."

On Motwane's movie, seemingly titled Bhavesh Joshi, the actor told, "I have shot half of the film; it's Vikram's most commercial film to date."
