As per media updates, Kumar Mangat has acquired the rights for the Hindi remake of Drishyam 2 featuring Mohanlal. But, it wasn’t sure who would direct or act in the same. Previously, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, and others essayed the lead roles in Drishyam helmed by late Nishikant Kamat.
Now, as per latest media reports that it is Ajay Devgn and Tabu who will team up again for the movie’s sequel. This is sure to leave the fans thrilled.
In the meantime, Drishyam 2 in Malayalam was finally
released on an OTT platform on February 19, 2021. Featuring Mohanlal as the
main lead, the movie has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor and directed by
Jeethu Joseph. Kumar Mangat has also disclosed that only a few modifications
will be made for the Hindi version of Drishyam 2. A close media source disclosed
that both Ajay and Tabu have given their nod to the script while the rest of
the balance cast is yet to be decided.
