Yes, I'm living in... with my parents, clarifies Shraddha Kapoor on her linkup with co-stars!

Freshly, there have been rumors of Shraddha Kapoor moving in with her Rock On 2 co-star and rumored boyfriend Farhan Akhtar. It was also informed that Shraddha's father Shakti Kapoor dragged her out of Farhan's home and got her back. 

During a communication with a famous daily, Shraddha was asked about the rumors, to which she specified, "I got a message from someone telling me about this article, and initially, I was amused. While it doesn't make a difference to me because I know it's not true, it's sad that these false stories go so far that people forget we are human, too. Of course, we are actors and there will be people who would probably want to read something gossipy about us, but when it involves my father, my aunt and my costar, it's taking it too far."

She further talked about her link up reports with Farhan by telling, "Well, I was even linked with Aditya for a while! Like I say, actors are linked all the time. But when family members are dragged into it, it's taking it to another extreme. Yes, I am living in... with my parents! I was born and brought up in this house. It's a joke within the family that I will bring my husband home (laughs). It's because I'm so happy living with my family. I have a house of my own where I have my meetings and keep my extra stuff. I have no intention of moving out of my parents' home and moving into my own apartment, let alone someone else's! About live-in relationships in general, I believe in live and let live. If it suits somebody and someone is happy, then it's totally fine -to each his own."

Speaking about how strict her parents are, Shraddha told, "My parents are very protective and strict with me and I love that because I am equally protective and strict with them. How much of a say they will have... well, like any parent, they would first see if I am happy. I know they will be supportive of whatever makes me happy."

Shraddha-Farhan’s reaction over Rock On 2 failure!

Rock On 2 is unable to create any thrill among the viewers as the movie has failed at the box-office. And the key actors Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar have been saddened by the film's dreary performance at the box office.  

Shraddha was questioned about Rock On 2's failure by a media source when she was attending the Global Citizen Festival India. Not hiding her grief, the actress stated, "It’s sad the film has not done well. It feels bad because you spend so many days working for a film and a Friday decides its fate. I wish people liked the film and it did better. The film has been receiving mixed responses and I still hope people go and watch it."

But, her co-star Farhan Akhtar chose to ignore the question. When he was asked if he was depressed with the response to his rock musical drama, Farhan avoided the query and responded, “We will talk about it some other time.”

Rock On 2 also hurt due to demonetization, which played against the film's business.

Shraddha called up her stalker on the Yaaron Ki Baraat’s stage and hugged!

Bollywood gifted actress Shraddha lately appeared on Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh’s Yaaron Ki Baraat along with friend and co-star Farhan Akhtar. But, amid all the fun and masti, the lovely actress did something that took everyone by surprise.

After introducing her stalker on the show who was sitting among the viewers, Shraddha called him on stage and hugged him. Yes, you heard us right, she HUGGED the man who she was meeting her for the 17th time that day (as she herself revealed).

Besides lecturing him openly, she pleased him with a hug and thanked him for being so loyal.

Farhan Akhtar is an inspiration for Shraddha to sing in films!

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor's Rock On 2 is ready to release this weekend and the actress is reasonably thrilled about it. And it is not just the movie's sequel that has excited her. The songs that she has sung in the movie make her glad.

Probe Shraddha who has been her inspiration as a singer and she is quick to reply, "My very own grand maushi, Lata Mangeshkar ji, has been a huge inspiration. And she's an even bigger inspiration for my mom. My mom (Shivangi Kapoor Kolhapure) has the voice of an angel which a lot of people don't know. She actually sounds like the younger version of Lata ji. But she devoted her life in bringing up my brother and me. She too has been my inspiration. Sometimes we just sing over a cup of tea."

She further reveals, "The reason I discovered that I want to sing is because of being an actor. Another reason was watching Rock On. I was always fond of singing but I didn't know that I could do it in movies. However, when I saw Farhan singing his own songs in Rock On, I thought that if he can do this, so can I."

Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, Rock On 2 also stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli in the lead. The film releases on November 11, 2016.

Having rocked Mumbai, Shillong, Bangalore and Aurangabad, the Rock On 2 team recently performed in Pune and pointless to say had the crowd going crazy with the addictive tunes.

While there were numerous rocking performances, what stood out was Shraddha breaking into an unrehearsed dance backstage on hearing the 'Senorita' song from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Matching the hook step as was performed by Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay in the film, Shraddha was electrifying when Farhan performed live on the lively number on stage.

Shraddha reflecting the same sass on stage was a hit and had the viewers grooving to her power-packed act.

Rock On 2 that also stars Arjun Rampal, Shahshank Arora and Purab Kohli will hit the cinemas on November 11.

Shraddha Kapoor breaks her silence over linkup with Farhan Akhtar!

The buzz about Shraddha Kapoor’s growing intimacy with her Rock On! 2 co-star Farhan Akhtar, since quite some time and now, the actress has at last opened up about it.

Speaking to an entertainment website, Shraddha told that she has no idea where these rumours are coming from and that she wonders if journalists write such news just to grab eyeballs. She indicated that it’s sad when an actor is giving an interview regarding his or her film and the headline is related to the link-up. She told that she finds it disrespectful and unfair, as actors give their lives for their movies.

Shraddha further added that she has given 66 days of her life to the movie and another 70 days to prepare for the role and after all this when it comes down to people only speaking about her personal life she feels that all her efforts have gone waste.

Rock On 2’s pair Farhan & Shraddha in Bigg Boss house for clap-board task called 'Tere Naam'!

For promoting latest film Rock On 2 in next week, Farhan Akhtar & Shraddha Kapoor visited the BB house and intermingled with the participants. There, the twosome will be seen participating in a clap-board task called 'Tere Naam' with celebrities and Indiawaale.

In the task, the participants will give movie clapboards with some titles to each other. Manu Punjabi will be the first to go and will give the title - 'Bheja Fry' to Swami ji because he talks a lot endlessly!

After that, Swamiji will give 'Ek Thi Dayan' tag to Bani J because he thinks she is against Indian culture and traditions. *LOL*

When Nitibha Kaul is asked to bestow 'Gunda' tag to Manveer Gujjar because his looks match it; the super engaging Lokesh Kunari will give 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' title to Rohan Mehra because he's closest to her in age bracket. As per Lokesh aka Lavi, rest are either brothers / sisters or double her age.

Former beauty queen Lopamudra Raut is to give the 'Naagin' tag to Nitibha because she dances and knows the Naagin moves! I like funny Ranveer and super confident Shraddha among the new generation actors, says Arjun Rampal!

Bollywood hunk Arjun Rampal, who is presently gearing up for the release of his film Rock On 2, was initially doubtful when he learnt that Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to essay a role in the movie.

Ask him about working with Shraddha and Arjun confesses, "I didn't know how she will fit as she is from a different generation. I was wondering how she was doing it. I hadn't seen her movies and had only heard about her. But the new generation of kids are so focused. She has been a huge fan of Rock On. And now I think she is a perfect band member. She is unbelievable, has great screen and stage presence, is super confident and well mannered."

Probe him whom does he like from the younger lot of the actors and Rampal is rapid to respond, "I like watching Ranveer Singh he is fun and a good actor. I like Alia Shraddha and Varun."

Shraddha is well trained enough to take up singing professionally, says Ankit Tiwari!

Bollywood beauty Shraddha Kapoor is known for her acting proficiency as well as her singing talent. And singer-composer Ankit Tiwari considers that the actress is well trained to take it up as a profession.

"Shraddha is a classically trained singer. So, when she renders a song, she delivers all the musical nuances beautifully. I think she is well trained enough to take up singing professionally," Ankit said.

Shraddha's soothing voice in songs like "Galliyan" (composed by Tiwari), and "Bezubaan phir se" has been loved by listeners. She got a chance to sing her own songs in the musical drama "Rock On 2" - sequel of "Rock On". 

In "Rock On 2", she has sung three songs "Tere mere dil", "Rock on revisited" and "Udja re".

The actress is also performing live on the concert for the promotion of the movie.

Rock On 2 is slated to release on November 11.

Farhan Akhtar opens about his linkup with Shraddha Kapoor during Rock On 2!

Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar has been linked to many co-stars since his split with wife Adhuna last year. After Aditi Rao Hydari and Kalki Koechlin, Shraddha Kapoor joined the bandwagon as the gossip mill has been abuzz that the actress and Farhan more than just good buddies.

The twosome will be seen in Rock On 2, which is nearing its release in a few weeks. In a chat with a tabloid, Farhan spoke about the rumours surrounding him and Shraddha. "Of course, we are friends. The fact of the matter is that over the last year-and-a-half, a certain kind of friendship has been forged, which is normal since we have been working together. There are times when you work with people and enjoy their company. For example, I worked with Abhay Deol for the first time in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). And since then, we have hung out, and also travelled together a lot. Now, just because he is a man, I am not having an affair with him (laughs)," told the filmmaker turned actor.

Farhan Akhtar added, "The minute a woman is involved, one assumes it has to be more than friendship. It’s weird because you are saying that men and women, can’t be friends after having worked together. But at the same time, it is okay for men to hang out together if they got to know one another while working on a film. It’s dubious for a guy and a girl to hang out once they work on a film and that reeks of some kind of hypocrisy."

Rock On 2 is slated for a November 18, 2016 release. 

Prachi Desai feels beautiful happenings as reuniting with Farhan for Rock On2!

Earlier in 2008 when Prachi Desai made her big screen debut with Rock On. The movie worked in major cities with the multiplex viewers and over the years, it has managed cult following for itself. While she has relished successes like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and Bol Bachchan in the interim period, there have also been disappointments like I, Me aur Main and Policegiri. As for Rock On, the movie was notable for the big screen debut of both Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai.

When asked about reunion with Farhan, Prachi Desai says, "Well, it is so beautiful to be coming together".  She further adds, "Since in real life too we all got along so well, it was like a house on fire when we reunited for the sequel's shoot. It was also pretty freaky as to how each and every person out there, be it me, Farhan, Arjun (Rampal), Purab (Kohli) or Shahana (Goswami), had lived this part before. On screen, you can't make out if we are bonding as characters or real life friends."

Considering the fact that eight years have passed by since the release of Rock On and now Rock On 2, the film's sequel, is her eight movie since then, what are the changes that she has seen in the industry over the years?

"I don't think anything has changed in the industry, except for the fact that some great films are being made today. People are taking chances by picking up different subjects. Apart from that though I don't see any change in the industry. Yes, I see changes in myself though. I see a change in my outlook and change in the ways I deal with things. I think self-realization is the biggest change that has come in me," recveals Prachi.

Film Rock On 2, which is produced by Excel and Eros, releases all over on 11th November.

Shraddha Kapoor explores her singing with fun!

Multi talented actor Shraddha Kapoor, who is known for her acting proficiency as well as her singing, tells she enjoys it when she gets a chance to explore her singing talent while working on a project.

Her soothing voice in songs like "Galliyan" and "Bezubaanphir se" has been well appreciated by listeners. She got a chance to sing her own songs in the musical drama "Rock On 2" - sequel of "Rock On". 

"I am exploring the singing aspect and having too much fun exploring that. Also I feel grateful to Ritesh (Sidwani), Farhan Akhtar and Shujaat Saudagar (director) for considering me as a perfect fit for the role. I think it is a rare opportunity for me to sing for a musical film," Shraddha told at the trailer launch of "Rock On 2".

She has explored acting, singing and dancing. So what's subsequent for her? 

"Well, I want to go with the flow. It was my childhood dream that I am singing and dancing apart from doing movies. I am blessed that I am getting the opportunity to work in good films and playing such lovely characters. I hope this continues"," she told. 

The forthcoming musical drama movie is directed by Saudagar, produced by Farhan and Sidhwani, and has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

While Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli repeat their roles from "Rock On", Shraddha and Shashank Arora have joined the team for the sequel. 

Shraddha tells singing rock songs was hard. ""I am very fond of rock music so I was happy to get to sing my own songs in the film. I hope the songs of the film will receive as much love as the prequel," she told. 

Shraddha added later that being a part of the film franchise is a "dream come true" moment for her. 

The movie will release on November 11. 

Farhan Akhtar’s band journey is set to be captured in a documentary!

Filmmaker cum director Farhan Akhtar is readying for the release of his forthcoming movie, Rock On 2. The versatile filmmaker made his acting and singing debut with Rock On!! (2008) which was unexpectedly loved by the viewers.

Farhan has his own music band, Farhan Live and he has performed at 61 concerts around the world including countries such as UAE and Singapore. This has happened in the period of over three years. Now as per a famous daily, the actor and his band's journey is set to be captured in a documentary.

Speaking about it, a source revealed, "The documentary will be released soon. Farhan’s team has captured everything, from how the band came into existence to how it has grown over the years. It will feature footages from their concerts, the jamming sessions and the hard preparations that the band has gone through."

They added later, "Farhan has also met a lot of his fans during these concerts. The response from their fans has been fantastic. Hence, they thought of showcasing their eight-year journey."

In the meantime, Farhan's spokesperson verified the report, telling, "The team of Farhan Live has beautifully encapsulated the journey of the band — from how it began to their 61 performances across the globe."

Earlier in 2008, musical drama Rock On starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny had made a place for itself in every music lover's heart and currently, the sequel Rock On 2 will assuredly rock your world.

The trailer of the movie was released at an event in Bandra and we must say that we were speechless! This time, the members of Magik are older and edgier and the movie revolves around the dynamics in their relationship when they agree to rope in new talent.

Abhishek is still my friend, but was not able to be a part of this movie, says Farhan Akhtar!

Filmmaker cum Director Farhan Akhtar released the much anticipated trailer of his movie Rock On 2 in Mumbai recently along with his outstanding team. Farhan revealed about his experiences shooting for the musical extravaganza. When questioned about friend-turned-foe Abhishek Kapoor, who is not a part of the sequel, Farhan told, "Every film and every person has a journey of their own. He is still my friend. But the situation was such that he was not able to be a part of this movie."

Farhan and Abhishek, who were once BFFs, fell apart when Abhishek blamed the Rock On 2 team of not giving him due credits for the script of the film. This followed with a muddled legal battle, the result of which was the souring of the personal and professional relationship of the two gifted artists.

Farhan Akhtar was joined by Shraddha Kapoor, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli and Ritesh Sidhwani for the launch event. The movie is ready to release on November 11th.

Ritesh Sidhwani in the happiest moments due to green signal for Raees!

Filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani launched the trailer of his film Rock On 2 along with his team including Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, and Shraddha Kapoor.

At the trailer launch of the film, the team intermingled with the media present there. When questioned about the much anticipated Shah Rukh Khan film Raees and its dispute with the MNS regarding the #BanPakArtists whoopla, Ritesh stated that he was "very happy" that the issue has been fixed. 

Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. It is slated to release on 26 January beside another movie Kaabil featuring Hrithik Roshan.

Farhan-Shraddha's Rock On 2 will be re-shoot?

It’s not good news for Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor's Rock On 2. After their US tour got cancelled, there are news that some sequences of the film are being reworked on.

Not only that, Shraddha Kapoor, who has sung songs in the film, isn't too content with the way her voice sounds and has been cribbing about it to a director pal. 

While the movie is the work of debutant director Shujaat Saudagar, the report reveals that Farhan has ghost-directed the film.

Lovely daughter Shraddha Kapoor spotted along with daddy Shakti Kapoor as they leave for a marriage from the airport. Put on a long black coat and shorts, the 29-year-old actress appeared to be pretty in her ultra-cool avatar.

The father-daughter duo was snapped radiating high spirits and seemed to be loving each other’s company.  

In the meantime, Shraddha also took to Instagram to post a pic of herself along with daddy in the car as they headed to the airport and captioned it as, “Here we goooo.. We are coming!!!! Wedding madness begins!”

Rock On! 2’s star Shraddha Kapoor is the biggest fan of Rock On!

Admirers of Rock On! are mighty thrilled as the makers lately disclosed the teaser trailer of its sequel Rock On! 2 and Shraddha Kapoor, who is playing the female lead in the movie, lately claimed that she is the original's biggest fan.

When asked how she came on board, she told, ''I think I'm very lucky. I'm Rock On's biggest fan and when I saw that film I had decided that if they would ever come up with a sequel, I will be a part of it and that's happening so, it's like a dream come true.''

Rock On! 2 also stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shashank Arora in the lead roles.

Shraddha Kapoor is upset about her link up with Farhan Akhtar!

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who just wrapped her upcoming movie Ok Jaanu, has been in the news for reasons apart from her work too.

Shraddha and her Rock On 2 co-star Farhan Akhtar's roaring affair has made news and recently we had reported that the two got too close at the success bash of Baaghi. Reportedly, Shraddha set the dance floor ablaze with her dirty dancing with Farhan at the bash.

In an interview to a publication, Shraddha opened up about her alleged linkups and was reportedly little disappointed. The actress told that there's a limit to everything and media can't just cook up stories and write them. She added that the media has to consider people's sentiments and think about the people involved when they write such reports.

Previously, Shraddha was allegedly dating her Aashiqui 2 co-star Aditya Roy Kapur. But, in the interview she dismissed her link up with Aditya as a rumour that started when they were working on Aashiqui 2.
