Amitabh Bachchan replaces Rajinikanth as Kabali in Hindi remake?

South megastar Rajinikanth's newest release Kabali is making waves down South and though the Hindi version doesn't seem to have fared well, it seems that the South movie will be remade in Hindi soon with none other than Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead role!

An industry insider told that the Hindi version of Kabali did not fare as well as the original version as the Tamil version was very culture-specific and keeping this in mind, the makers are seemingly planning to remake the movie in Bollywood. Fascinatingly, many of the Big B's movies have been remade down South and have starred Rajini- Deewaar (remade in Tamil as Thee), Don (Billa in Tamil) and Namak Halaal (Velaikaran in Tamil). If Kabali is remade in Hindi, it will be the first time that Bachchan will star in a remake of a Rajini movie.

Amitabh and Rajinikanth have shared screen space in Andhaa Kaanoon, Hum and Giraftaar.

Actor Irrfan Khan, who is presently promoting his movie Madaari, recently called out Tamil megastar Rajnikanth for plagiarism his film's poster. The poster in question has the faces of the lead actors Irrfan Khan and Rajinikanth from one side with numerous buildings and skyscrapers standing horizontally next to their faces.

During the promotion of Madaari in a mall, Irrfan Khan got to know about the Kabali poster and accused Rajinikanth and the makers of stealing their poster design. He told, "Even I didn't know that. We are small filmmakers, I saw that Rajinikanthji's film stole the poster of our movie. You see his film's poster and see our film's poster. No issues. Watch his film and watch our film, too."

After the word reached Rajinikanth admirers, they came forward in support the star to explain about the same and it turns out that the poster is actually a fan-made one. Neither the official page has that poster nor has Rajinikanth posted it on his twitter account. He had shared only two official posters last year. It seems like that even the makers of Kabali may not be aware of the poster.

Irrfan Khan assuredly seems to have goofed up with this by announcing the poster design theft without cross checking the truths.

Rajinikanth's Kabali and Irrfan Khan's Madaari are slated to release on July 15.
