The legendary star Irrfan’s death has left the whole nation
in the state of shock. Irrfan Khan, who was 53 years old, passed away on
Wednesday dated 29th April 2020 in Mumbai. He was admitted to
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was under observation for colon
infection. Earlier, He was battling neuroendocrine cancer for two years and was
accompanied by his loved one during his last moments.
The news of Irrfan’s ill-timed demise has ripped everybody
apart and the celebs, including Irrfan’s co-stars and several biggies, have
inundated the social media with their condolences for the legendary actor.
On Irrfan’s sad demise, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ram
Charan, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky
Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Divya
Dutta, A R Rahman, Sidharth Malhotra, Bhumi Pednekar, Raveena Tandon, Shruti
Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Nitish Bharadwaj, Alia Bhatt and Soni Razdan were
among the many stars who took to social media and recalled the actor. They offered
their heartfelt condolences to the Irrfan’s family and paid tribute to late
Irrfan Khan.
Superstar Salman Khan offered his tribute to Irrfan with a
heartfelt note on social media. Salman took to social media and shared a happy photograph
of him bumping into Irrfan on a red carpet event. In the photograph, both
Salman and Irrfan can be seen smiling away as they bump into each other and
greet one another. Salman posted, “Big loss to the film industry, his fans, all
of us n specially his family. My heart goes out to his family. May God give
them strength. Rest in peace brother u shall always be missed n be in all our
hearts...”
Deepika Padukone paid her tribute towards the actor on
social media. Without stating a word, Deepika painted Instagram black with a
blank post and the hashtag, "#irrfankhan" and a heartbreak emoji.
South star Ram Charan took to social media and tweeted, “The
world of cinema has lost a crowned jewel. One of the most exceptional actors
and the film industry will definitely miss the legend. May your soul rest in
peace, Irrfan Khan ji.”
Well-known actor-politician Kamal Haasan tweeted, “Too soon
to leave @irrfank Ji. Your work always left me in awe. You’re one of the finest
actors I know, I wish you stayed longer. You deserved more time. Strength to
the family at this time.”
Shahid Kapoor tweeted, “It’s so sad to hear about #IrfanKhan
passing away. I have learned so much from him as an actor just by sharing
screen space with him. A truly gifted actor. And a wonderful man. He really has
#GoneTooSoon I’m sure the heavens have saved a special place for him,”.
Shraddha Kapoor shared a still from Haider featuring herself
and Irrfan and specified that she has been honoured to share the screen space
with the star. She called him “a magician on the big screen; inspiring &
igniting people’s hearts” and highlighted that she will always be his fan and
will cherish her moments with Irrfan.
His Haider’s co-star Kay Kay Menon also shared a photograph
of Irrfan with his quote which read “I want to entertain people but with some
substance.” He captioned the image as “You did Brother! You did!! And so
SPLENDIDLY!! RIP #irrfankhan Shocked & grieved for words!! Om Shanti!”
Varun Dhawan posted, “I loved watching every film of his.
Whenever I interacted with him he always told me to be kind to people. His
passion and love for acting was next to spirituality. Thank u irrfan sir RIP #irrfankhan Saab”.
Janhvi Kapoor posted, “There are no words to sum up what you
have given us with your unparalleled work and artistry. There are no words to
sum up the loss that all of us feel today. May you rest in peace ”
Vicky Kaushal posted, “My favourite actor, a gem of a human
being... Irrfan Sir, you will be missed and loved forever. We deserved you a

the family. ”
Arjun Kapoor posted, “My 3rd film, my first day on set &

South star Pooja Hegde wrote, “Every time I watched his
films I just marvelled at how BRILLIANT he was... SO good at his craft. SO True

TV celeb Nitish Bharadwaj stated, "A. You lose a
friend. B. You lose a damn good actor as a director. It was a joy directing him
in Geeta Rahasya. I used to tell Irrfan that I don't want a line here. I just
want you to express, I just want your simple emotion, your reaction. He used to
come out with brilliant reactions." "It's a sad loss for the world
cinema. He was not restricted to Indian cinema. He should have done much more
work, even abroad," he further added.
Alia Bhatt has also paid her condolence for Irrfan by
sharing a monochrome photo of the Piku star on Instagram. She captioned the
image with a heart emoticon which spoke volumes about how saddened she is with
Irrfan’s demise.
Later, her mother Soni Razdan also remembered Irrfan and she
wrote, “So terribly sad today” followed by broken heart emoticons.
