Now, the movie has set another huge record. The total business of 2.0 (all three languages) has beaten Aamir Khan's biggest hit Dangal. As per news, this record has been set in just 13 days of its release. While Dangal made Rs 380 crore at the domestic box office, 2.0 is a little ahead and is expected to conquer another record of Rs 400 crore by the end of the weekend.

I will enter politics if god willing, says Rajinikanth!

Megastar Rajinikanth met his admirers in a public forum recently after a long gap of eight years. The event was organised at Raghavendra Mandapam in Chennai recently. The actor spoke at length during the meet and spoke about a lot of things. From politics to his career, Rajini spoke about few strange things.

“God decides what we have to do in life. Right now, he wants me to be an actor and I’m fulfilling my responsibility. If God willing, I will enter politics tomorrow. If I enter, I will be very truthful and will not entertain people who are in this to make money. I won’t work with such people,” told megastar Rajinikanth.

The 66-year-old megastar told that he considered his brief stint in politics years ago as a “political accident”. Talking about it Rajinikanth told, “I did a mistake by supporting a political alliance 21 years ago. It was a political accident. Since then, politicians have misused my name on several occasions. But I have to clarify, I’m not joining any party.”

Rajinikanth had a distinctive message for his fans. “Take care of your family and children. Don’t waste your life by smoking and drinking. Drinking and smoking not only affects your health but also your decision-making ability. I have been affected enough so please take my advice seriously,” added the megastar.

Rajinikanth will now join the shooting of his forthcoming movie with Pa Ranjith which is yet to be titled. The movie will be bankrolled by his son-in-law actor Dhanush.

No Deepika Padukone for Rajinikanth's next Tamil project!

Director Pa. Ranjith has disparaged rumors that actress Deepika Padukone has been finalized as the heroine of his next yet-untitled Tamil project with megastar Rajinikanth.

As a answer to a Twitter user on Friday evening, Ranjith told that the news about Deepika being cast in his next project is false.

Previously, it was rumored that Radhika Apte was being considered for the same role.

Ranjith and Rajinikanth reunite after last year's Tamil blockbuster "Kabali".

While the genre of the movie remains a mystery, what is known is that Dhanush will be bankrolling the project. It is believed that the film will go on the floors from later this year.

Rajinikanth-Akshay starrer film 2.0’s satellite right bagged for 110 crore!

The satellite rights for megastar Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar magnum opus 2.0 has been purchased by Zee Network. The film will be made in three languages- Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. 

Taking to Twitter, COO of Lyca Production and the producer of the movie posted, “It’s true Lyca Productions gets a partner in Zee for our mega opus 2.o Satellite."

Well, Zee has bagged the rights for a whopping Rs 110 crore deal. 

The film is a sequel to Rajnikanth starrer Enthiran (2010) and is being directed by S Shankar. With this, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Tamil debut wherein he will be playing the role of an antagonist.

The first look of the film was disclosed last year and it was intriguing as hell. In the first look, Akshay can be seen standing and above him, 2.0 shape is made with tons of robotic avatars of Rajni and a ray of light coming from the sky.

The sci-fi 2.0 also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in key roles. The music is given by maestro A R Rahman.

Made on a massive budget of Rs 450-crore (approx) the movie is expected to hit the theatres this Diwali.

Besides this, Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Toilet Ek Prem Katha opposite Bhumi Pednakar. He will also be seen doing an extended cameo in Neeraj Pandey's Naam Shabana. Akshay is currently shooting for wife Twinkle Khanna's maiden production project Padman in a small town in Madhya Pradesh.

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar start shooting for 2.0 in Chennai after many interruptions!

Shankar's 2.0 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2017. The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead with Akshay Kumar playing a ferocious negative role. The film went on the floors last year, but after a certain schedule, they took a break as Akshay was managing between his other movies too.

The film was supposed to be began in early December, but due to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha's death, the shoot was delayed. And then the state was affected by heavy rains which destroyed the localities and also the sets of the movie.

Speaking about the shoot being started again, 2.0's executive producer and Shankar's nephew, Pappu Shankar specified to a famous daily, "The delay was primarily because of the December rains that destroyed the sets. Then came Christmas and New Year. The film's crew, which comprises Western technicians for special effects, had to leave for the holidays."

The film was supposed to be started again on January 17, but due to Jallikattu ban controversy, it was interrupted again. Now, the movie is on roll again with Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson shooting for it.

2.0 is scheduled for a Diwali 2017 release.

Superstar Rajinikanth suffers a minor injury while shooting for Enthiran's sequel 2.0!

In a dreadful turn of events, megastar Rajinikanth has suffered a minor injury on his left leg while shooting for Enthiran's sequel 2.0 in Chennai today.

Seemingly it all happened at 8 PM when the actor fell down while filming a scene at a location on the outskirts of the city.

The 65-year-old actor was then rushed to a private hospital and after all the medical examinations was sent back with a suture on his leg.

A daily stated a source from the hospital as telling, “The actor was in the hospital for half an hour from around 8:45 pm. The minor injury was dressed and he returned fine."

Fortunately, Rajinikanth didn’t sustain any major injury and resumed work soon after discharge.

Later, a video of him back on the sets also surfaced on Youtube. The short clip shows the entire team cheering for Rajinikanth as he steps out from his vanity van.
