Ajay Devgn starrer Raid’s sequel on the card?

After the success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn is all set to unite with T-Series' Bhushan Kumar in Bhuj: The Pride Of India which is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. But before the duo collaborated for Bhuj, they were planning on making a sequel to the 2018 hit movie Raid.

As per a report in a daily, that the makers are all set for the sequel of Raid and this will also be based on a true story. As per a media source the franchise seeks to bring into the public eye heroes who work closely with intelligence agencies to track white-collar crimes. To this day, nobody knows the identity of the officer on whom Ajay’s Amay was modeled. Raid 2 will also be a tribute to men who don’t wear the uniform.

Producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed telling the sequel will be a huge multi-film franchise and he and Ajay along with Kumar Mangat are looking to take Raid forward. The script of Part 2 is being developed. Since the original was a much-loved movie, the sequel is a huge responsibility.

In Raid, Ajay essays the role of a deputy commissioner of Income Tax. Recently, the first poster for the movie was out.

Ajay looks quite robust on the poster and his grumpy face proves he won't take anything for granted. The first poster gives us an idea how powerful his character 'Amay Patnaik' in Raid will be.

The movie is set in the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. It is set in the era of 1980s and based on true events.

Raid is going to release on March 16, 2018.

Now Ajay Devgn’s Income Tax related Raid!

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn's calendar is full as he has a lot of movies in his kitty. He is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Baadshaho and is also on the last leg of Golmaal Again.

Now, as per a famous tabloid, Ajay is all set to star in a movie titled Raid. He will be seen essaying the role of an Income Tax Officer based in Uttar Pradesh. The movie will be set in the 1980s and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta of No One Killed Jessica fame.

The movie will be going on floors this year in the month of September. Speaking about it, Gupta specified to a tabloid, "Raid is a story that needs to be told on the big screen, and I’m looking forward to working with Ajay on a subject like this."
