Director Suneel Darshan to reveal Akshay Kumar getting teary-eyed when a producer insulted him!

Akshay Kumar, better known as Khiladi Kumar, has achieved remarkable success in Bollywood throughout the course of his three-decade career by playing legendary parts. In a recent interview, filmmaker Suneel Darshan revealed that after a string of box office setbacks, a producer insulted the actor by calling him unworthy and refusing to put his picture on a billboard. Additionally, when the producer wasconsidering starring Hrithik Roshan in one of his next 100 films, Akshay suggested that Roshan be added on the list.

Director Suneel Darshan, who has worked with Akshay Kumar on films like Andaaz and Ek Rishtaa, revealed in a recent media chat that he took a chance by casting Akshay in the movie Jaanwar at a time when the actor was going through a difficult patch in his career and big movies like Dhadkan and Hera Pheri hadn't come out yet.

Just a few days prior to their film's premiere, Suneel explained, another movie starring the Welcome actor was set to be released. He talked about how the producer abused Kumar and said he wasn't worth a billboard without mentioning the movie.

The filmmaker provided more details, saying, "Akshay Kumar came to meet me at my office. During those days, he would come every day to meet me. He was crying. He shared, 'I just met with the producer of my film and asked him why he didn't put any banners, and he said, tumhari aukaat nahi hai ki billboard lagaya jaye.' That day was the first time I felt nervous. But, I controlled my emotions and thought of doing something."

After listening to Kumar, the Andaaz producer decided to stand by him instead of rejecting him. They made the decision to only feature Akshay Kumar on Juhu's largest billboard. The poster didn't even include the film's leading ladies, Shilpa Shetty and Karisma Kapoor, who were already well-known at the time. The film became a huge hit in other parts of the country even though it had a bad opening weekend in Mumbai.

However, after finding out that Suneel had gone to meet with Hrithik Roshan for a project, Akshay made the decision to drop by his office. Recalling the incident, Suneel Darshan revealed, "He said, 'I heard you are making a film with Hrithik Roshan'. I was like, 'Where did you hear that?' He said, 'I heard you met Rakesh Roshan in his office the other day'. I said, 'I did meet him because he called me to show some songs of his son.' He was like, 'oh, okay'. Then he held my hand and asked me to promise him that I will make 100 films with him."

In terms of his profession, Akshay is going through yet another challenging time. His box office performance has been poor for his last twelve films. The actor is still working hard on his upcoming films, which include Housefull 5, Jolly LLB 3, Shankara, and Sky Force.

Mera Naam Joker fame Veteran actor Satinder Kumar Khosla’s sad demise!

It breaks our hearts when well-known stars from the Hindi film industry leave for paradise because a void is left behind that can never be replaced. On September 12, veteran actor Satinder Kumar Khosla, also known by his stage name Birbal Khosla, passed away. The actor will be remembered for a few standout performances in movies like Sholay and Mera Naam Joker.

Actor Satinder Khosla, who has a variety of skills, was born on October 28th, 1938. With Do Bandhan in 1966 and Upkar in 1967, he made his acting debut in the Hindi film industry. However, he believed that his fame stemmed from the V. Shantaram movie Boond Jo Ban Gayee Moti. Since then, the Marathi, Punjabi, Hindi, and Bhojpuri actor-comedian has starred in more than 500 films. His iconic roles in films like Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Tapasya, Charlie Chaplin, Anurodh, Sadma, Amir Garib, Gambler, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Dil, Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi, and Fir Kabhi are just a few of his many notable credits. In the 2022 film 10 Nahi 40, he made his final screen appearance.

Throughout the course of his successful career, the acclaimed actor has worked with various notable personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Jeetendra, Mumtaz, Hema Malini, Manoj Kumar, and Dharmendra.

Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up on her ''coolest" father!

The Kapoor family, one of Bollywood's most illustrious families and usually referred to as the "first family of Hindi cinema," is the lineage of Kareena Kapoor Khan. This is true since Raj Kapoor, her grandfather, was a pioneer in Hindi cinema, and her great-grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor, was one of the most well-known performers of his time. The Kapoor family, however, had an unspoken rule prohibiting women from working in the film industry. The truth is that none of her acting aunts, either those who were born into the Kapoor family or those who married into it, continued acting after they got married. Karisma, Kareena's older sister, was the first member of the family to choose acting as a career and to succeed as a star in her own right.

Kareena Kapoor Khan recently spoke with a daily and expressed admiration for her father Randhir Kapoor. She revealed, "I think my father has been one of the coolest fathers ever." Raj Kapoor was her father; he is the actor Babita Kapoor's spouse. Even Randhir's debut feature film, Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which also starred Raj Kapoor and Prithviraj Kapoor, was a result of their cooperation. She said that he supported her job choices at all times, even when she decided to pursue an acting career—unusual for a Kapoor woman.

Bebo also talked about the reasons why there aren't any films starring Kapoor women. "Times were different" back then, she remarked. "Back in the 1970s and stuff, it was different because times were different. That when they got married they never really worked, but I’m glad that my father moved with the times because that’s what it is about. You have to keep changing yourself for your children. That’s also important, and not live in archaic times," the Jab We Met actress revealed.

Kareena recalled her father's support for Karisma and added that although it was challenging for Karisma to be one of the first Kapoor women to pursue an acting career, her father was always encouraging. Kareena added that her father has always been a terrific friend and mentor to her and that he is a very cosmopolitan and open-minded individual.

Veteran Sarika talks about her comeback with Uunchai!

Recently, National Award-winning actress Sarika made comeback in the Sooraj Barjatya's Rajshri Productions with film Uunchai after a gap of almost 50 years after their movie Geet Gaata Chal (1975). She began acting when she was 5. The path was undoubtedly not easy for her but quite a rollercoaster ride, full of ups and downs, successes, and setbacks. 55 years in showbiz and it has been a story full of many twists and turns for Sarika.

Recently, the Hey Ram actress opened up about what kept her always moving and looking at the positive side while going through personal struggles and emotional turmoil.

"The rollercoaster kept me moving. It had its moments of fear, moments of thrill, and excitement and it goes down & up. That's the fun part and instead of looking at the lows and celebrating the highs, that's a good way to go ahead I feel. Besides working at the age of 5 which is not an ideal thing as you should be going to school, having proper childhood, and playing but that doesn't happen and you look at only the brighter side. We don't know how life is going to unfold but someone up there knows what life is all about, they know the screenplay. If you look at that, getting a break with BR Chopra, working with Sunil uncle, Madan Puri, all through the childhood that was my school, childhood," revealed Sarika.

In 2016, Sarika decided to take a break from acting and joined theatre. "That was a very conscious decision to not act. I just did backstage like production side, the rough and tough work," the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress disclosed.

On breaks and making comebacks, Sarika answered, "It came naturally. I'm a very passionate actor but I am very comfortably taking breaks. I don't know how many times I have done that. The first time when I took a break, I wanted to stop because I had done enough work. People start at 25 but I had lived my whole life in front of the camera by that age. It was the most rewarding moment for me and focus my shift on personal life because that needed 100 percent. In 2016 when I took a break, as a person and not an actor I felt I was waking up and going to sleep and wasting days of my life. I consciously decided to not act so that I don't wait for the role to come."

Did she face judgements for her choices and making comeback in the industry? The Parzania actress disclosed, "When I took a break in 2016, few people told me- 'Listen, you are getting super excited just because you made a comeback last time after 18 years. You think you will be able to do this but you won't be able to make a comeback because you are not as young as you were 18 years ago'. But I was ok with that because I'm real."

Amitabh Bachchan recalls late veterans Vikram Gokhale and Tabassum!

Presently, well-known Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is enjoying the success of his recently released movie, Uunchai. Helmed by Sooraj Barjatya, the movie also starred Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and others in important roles.  In the meantime, Big B, who enthusiastically interacts with his fans on social media, lately took to his blog and paid a heartfelt tribute to Vikram Gokhale and Tabassum.

As we all know that veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passed away at the age of 77 in Pune on November 26. He had been undergoing treatment there after being admitted a few days ago. His last rites were performed by the family. On the other side, Tabassum breathed her last on November 18 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Big B penned a touching note as he recalled them. His tribute read, "The days are lined with sadness.. friends and colleagues.. artists of huge merit, leave us day by day.. and we listen, see and pray.. Tabassum .. Vikram Gokhle and some dear ones that are close and known .. They came to us in our lives.. they played their parts and left the stage empty forlorn and desolate by their absence .."

Vikram made his debut in Bollywood with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Parwana. Besides Bollywood films, the duo also worked in a Marathi movie titled AB Ani CD.

Previously, Big B recalled Tabassum and called her 'effervescent'. He posted, ".. they all leave us one by one .. and it is beyond comprehension .. you only recollect the times of their presence and life before the eyes and the mind .. and they ever remain an image of the time .. unchanged, unfettered and in the freedom of free .. and then they leave , and it cannot be fathomed."

That's one of the easiest questions to answer.” Actor further revealed, “It would not only be an honour and pleasure to play Vishy, but it’ll also be highly exciting to get into his mind. When I play a character, I try to understand the person’s mind. And Vishy being a real person, I’ll obviously spend a lot of time with him to understand his mind and how his mind works. I would also speak to his wife and his family to further understand how his mind works. And then hopefully, I’ll surprise Vishy when I play him on screen. So I’d look forward to that if and when that happens”.

Mesmerized by Aamir’s answer, Viswanathan Anand replied, “And I promise I won’t put you in a situation where you have to gain weight for the role”. His answer left everyone in splits.

Deepika Padukone tests positive for COVID 19?

Lately, it was reported that Deepika Padukone’s family has tested positive for COVID 19. Seemingly, Padukone’s mother and sister are diagnosed with Coronavirus and have opted for home quarantine, while the Deepika’s father Prakash Padukone has been hospitalised. Prakash’s close friend Vimal Kumar informed that Deepika’s father is doing fine. “Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive,” Kumar disclosed.

Now, as per new media update, Deepika Padukone too has tested positive for Covid-19. Previously, Deepika had even taken on to her Instagram account to raise awareness about mental health too. “As millions of us (me and my family included) strive to stay afloat, let us not forget that our emotional well-being in this current crisis is equally important! Remember, You Are Not Alone. We are in this Together. And most importantly, there is Hope,” she had told.

The media sources reached out to Deepika’s team for confirmation, but haven’t heard back from them as yet.

 

Bebo reveals about her desire in the next 20 years!

As we all know that Kareena Kapoor Khan has entertained us over the last 20 years. Recently, she talks about her future and discloses that she has one milestone that she wants to achieve in the next 20 years.

Talking about it to a media channel, she disclosed in 20 years, she sees herself living in London. The actress admitted she wants to move to the gorgeous British city. "London is my favourite city in the world," she told, reasoning her future plans.

Beside her 20-year plan, Kareena also talked about her life after marrying Saif Ali Khan. The actress, who tied the knot with Saif in 2012, explained the numerous things she learned from her husband.

"The best thing I’ve learned from Saif is being comfortable with myself and not always be running after money, success, fame. He’s taught me to love the greater things in life, that there’s something greater than money, fame and success, which I probably didn’t know like family, love, calmness, peace of mind, or reading a book, or sitting and having a conversation not about work and competition.

She knows her work and she is very particular. I kind of resonated with that. So when she was on set, I was telling my team that it's kind of like watching a mirror of yourself where you understand. You know when people say your particular but you understand why that person is like that. It was a magical day."

Amid Coronavirus pandemic, upcoming films cannot see screen in cinemas till situations will be in cotrol, but Janhvi Kapoor is confident and happy that her movie's shoot is complete.

In a latest media interaction, Janhvi was questioned if her upcoming films, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Roohi Afzana will head out for an OTT release. But, in spite of the reports going around, Janhvi just went on to express her gratitude about the shooting of the movies being complete and added how she has no idea how things would have been if the shooting wasn't done. While the movies are shot, she did disclose how 30 days of VFX work for Gunjan Saxena biopic is still pending while Dostana is almost halfway through.

 

Akshay Kumar’s help for CINTAA’s distressed daily wage workers!

Amid lockdown and Coronavirus pandemic, Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA)’s daily wage workers are suffering more due to no shooting for TV shows and Films. Amid this serious bread earning struggle, Akshay Kumar has come with a lump sum amount of Rs. 45 lakhs help to their association named CINTAA.

Recently, Akshay Kumar has donated an amount of Rs 45 lakh to Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) in order to help the distressed daily wage workers. Confirming the news, CINTAA’s Joint Secretary revealed to a media channel, “Akshay Kumar extended financial help of Rs 45 lakhs to CINTAA. We have deposited Rs 3000 each in the account of 1500 artists and workers associated with CINTAA yesterday. CINTAA had communicated about the financial crisis of the artist and workers amid the lockdown to Sajid Nadiadwala, who informed Akshay about the same.”

Sameera Reddy’s motherhood experience!

Bollywood stunning diva Sameera Reddy gave birth to Hans in 2015 and welcomed Nyra in July last year.

"Every time I look at my baby girl, I feel a sense of joy and optimism. There are so many stories that I will be telling her about the unconditional love and efforts that doctors, nurses, police forces, and the community at large are putting in to ensure our safety and protection," she told.
