The Bobby star Rishi Kapoor’s sad demise at 67 in Mumbai hospital!


After untimely demise of acting maestro Irrfan Khan, now another versatile star Rishi Kapoor passed away at 67 at a hospital in Mumbai on Thursday, dated 30 April 2020.
The timeless star Rishi Kapoor was admitted to the hospital a day back after his elder brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed to a media daily that he was having breathing issue. He was admitted to Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaon Mumbai. Randhir Kapoor also had disclosed that Rishi Kapoor was unable to talk.

On the ill-fated demise of the Bobby star, megastar Amitabh took to his twitter handle and expressed immense grief and sense of loss over the untimely demise of his dear friend. Recently, superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted to confirm, “T 3517 - He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”

As per media reports, earlier in September 2018, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh took off to New York and the veteran actor underwent treatment for cancer close to a year. For a long time, the evergreen star had kept his cancer battle a top-secret. Ranbir and Riddhima made regular trips to the USA to meet the ailing father.

After he recuperated, he came back to India in 2019. Rishi Kapoor’s health worsened a while ago when he was also admitted to the hospital back in New Delhi. Back then, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also travelled to meet him in New Delhi. As per media updates, Veteran Rishi Kapoor had been shooting for ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ in the capital when he fell ill earlier this year and was later shifted to a hospital in Mumbai. Reports suggest that the actor was battling cancer relapse.

Bollywood evergreen heartthrob Rishi Kapoor, is the second son of legend Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, He was Raj Kapoor's third born, after Randhir and later Ritu Nanda, he was older to Reema Jain and Rajeev Kapoor.

Bollywood’s “Chintu” was last seen in film ‘The Body’ with Emraan Hashmi, Shobhita Dhulipala, and Vedhika. Rishi Kapoor was all set to star in Deepika Padukone co-starrer the remake of Hollywood movie, The Intern. It was an official adaptation of a Hollywood movie.
About his career in film industry, Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor had his first lead role as an adult in 1973 with ‘Bobby’ opposite Dimple Kapadia. He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for the same.

Rishi Kapoor, who married actress Neetu Singh, has two children - actor Ranbir Kapoor and designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani.

As soon as the news about Rishi Kapoor’s untimely death hit social media, fans began pouring in tribute to the senior actor and condolences for his family. Numerous celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Kajal Aggarwal, Akshay Kumar and more also expressed grief and shock over the news of Rishi Kapoor’s demise.
