was Priyanka Chopra who won Miss World 2000 and since then, there is no looking
back for the global phenomenon who has stamped her mark in the world of
Bollywood as well as Hollywood.
Priyanka took to her Twitter to congratulate Manushi with a
heart-warming message.
Priyanka's tweeted, "And we have a successor!
Congratulations @ManushiChhillar on becoming #MissWorld2017.. cherish and
learn, and most importantly enjoy it. Bravo."
To this, an elated Manushi replied, "It means the
#World to me! Have always looked up to you :) Thank you @feminamissindia
@priyankachopra."
Earlier, Manushi tweeted about winning the prestigious
honour of Miss World 2017 and said, "Thank you, everyone, for your
constant love, support at prayers! @feminamissindia @MissWorldLtd
#MissWorld2017 This one's for #India."
Manushi also issued a statement about her win and said,
"The feeling is still sinking in and very excited to make India proud too.
I’m also looking forward to the year ahead. My parents have always been my
pillar of support and having them here tonight by my side has only brought me
more strength and joy. My final answer also came to me by having them here with
me in front of me."
Manushi's winning shot at Miss World 2017 came with her
perfect response to a question posed by the judges. Chhillar was asked which
profession deserved the highest salary and why? She replied: "I think a
mother is of highest respect. I don’t think it's just about cash but love and
respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. A mother
should get the highest respect."
