Film Don 3 has been in the news for the longest time particularly
when it comes to the casting. While it is definite that Shah Rukh Khan will be
reprising his character, things looked miserable for Priyanka Chopra, who had featured
in Don and Don 2.
Now, as per a news agency, Deepika may replace Priyanka and
star opposite Shah Rukh in Don 3.
A source disclosed to the media source, "There was a
sincere effort from the concerned parties to solve the problem. However, it
didn’t work out. Hence, it’s not decided whether the makers will look at
another actress like Deepika Padukone to play the female lead. Shah Rukh is the
lead and hence indispensable. So the actress had to be replaced."
In the meantime, in an interview with another media source,
producer Ritesh Sidhwani spoke about Don 3 revealing, "We are thinking
about Don 3 and we are thinking very hard on it. We have found the right idea,
it’s being written now. We will make an official announcement soon."
When asked if Farhan will direct the third installment,
Ritesh further added, "Wait for the announcement."
On the other side, when Farhan was questioned if Don 3 was
in the making, he disclosed, "I am not ready with Don 3. That’s too far
off."
