Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao has done various kinds of
roles in movies ranging from a lead role, supporting role to special cameo
appearances. Rajkummar has no inhibitions in essaying the second fiddle to
anyone and has played every character flawlessly.
Recently, Rajkummar disclosed that he is a strong believer
in feminism and doesn't differentiate between male and female directors.
Speaking about it, Rajkummar specified to a tabloid,
"When it comes to art, gender has no role to play. I am a firm believer in
feminism and I am a feminist. A female pilot doesn’t fly the plane differently
from a male pilot."
He further revealed, "So, when it comes to filmmaking,
it’s also about doing a job. The director is the captain of the ship. There is
perhaps discrimination in the industry because there are fewer female directors
and writers and we need more of them."
