A physically or mentally challenging role gives me a different kind of thrill, reveals Deepika Padukone!

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is presently engrossed with the exhausting shoot of Padmavati. The film which is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Deepika essays the titular role of Rani Padmini while Ranveer will be seen as the main antagonist, Alauddin and Shahid will be seen as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

Regrettably, the movie has been a victim of several delays and now, Bhansali is trying to complete the schedule of the magnum opus by October.

After Padmavati, Deepika will begin shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's next which is a biopic on Sapna Didi and also stars Irrfan Khan. It will be another challenging role for the actress to play and this will the first biopic that she is a part of. The untitled movie is slated for an October 2, 2018, release.

When questioned by a famous tabloid whether she consciously choose diverse and challenging roles, Deepika told, "To be honest, it’s not a conscious decision at all. I guess it’s something I’m naturally drawn towards."

Affirming that she enjoys such challenges, the actress revealed, "A physically or mentally challenging role gives me a different kind of thrill. It’s exhausting while filming but the results are very satisfying and that feeling is irreplaceable (smiles)."

Previously during a Twitter chat, when a admirer asked the actress what was her most challenging role till date, Deepika responded, "Padmavati."


In the meantime, Deepika along with Priyanka were the only two actresses to make it to the Top 10 Bollywood's Highest Paid 2017 list. Deepika ranked sixth in the list with earnings of $11 million, correspondingly.
