Filmmaker Sabbir Khan, who is gearing up for the release of
his film Munna Michael with Tiger Shroff and debutante Nidhhi Agerwal, seems to
be in talks with a studio for the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Thani Oruvan.
For the same, he is keen on casting Arjun Kapoor and
Sidharth Malhotra.
Sidharth and Arjun share great friendship but have never
worked together. In fact, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, the Dharma boys,
were firstly pitted against Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, the Yash Raj boys.
But the four actors have clearly defied the norms and have been friends for
years now. Given that both jodis of the actors have worked together in flicks
like Student of the Year and Gunday respectively, Sabbir is keen on
experimenting with his new movie by picking one actor from each of the jodis!
A source in the know informed a tabloid, "Sabbir has
signed up with a studio. And he is now looking to cast for the Hindi remake of
Thani Oruvan. There are two very strong roles in the film. A protagonist and
the antagonist. And he wants to cast Sid and Arjun.”
The source further added, "This isn’t a role for Tiger,
anyway. The plot needs older actors. It revolves around an IPS office1r and a
rogue scientist. Both roles in this thriller are equally strong and the film
revolves around their cat and mouse game. The Tamil film marked the return of
Arvind Swami as the main villian."
Since Sabbir also has made his three movies only with Tiger
Shroff, namely Heropanti, Baaghi and now Munna Michael, it would be refreshing
to see him cast some other actors too!
But, both Sidharth and Arjun are yet to confirm it!
