Ajay Devgn recently took to Twitter to present the first
look poster of his film Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. A few hours after Ajay
wrote, "Can't wait to share with you'll something very exciting that we
have been working on lately! Out at midnight!," he shared the epic poster
and wrote, "He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati
Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji
Malusare."
In the film, Ajay will be seen as Subedar Taanaji Malusare,
who fought along with Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. Tanaji was one of Shivaji's
closest friends, hailing from the Malusare clan; the two had known each other
since childhood. He is famously known for the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670. At
Shivaji's request, he pledged to recapture the fortress of Kondana near
Pune. As per to legend, he received the
summons while at his son's wedding, and immediately left the festivities.
Ajay will also be seen in a totally different avatar in the
Rohit Shetty movie Golmaal Again.
