The reports of veteran actor Vinod Khanna admitted to a
Mumbai suburban hospital stunned the entire nation, a few days ago. In fact two
backs a heart wrenching photo of the actor appearing extremely pale went viral
with fans even requesting the media to not share such pictures.
The actor was admitted on account of severe dehydration, but,
rumours suggest that the actor has been battling bladder cancer. The same day
rumours of his passing away started doing the rounds.
Among all this, it was Superstar Amitabh Bachchan's cryptic
tweet on colleagues passing away that stirred a hue and cry on Twitter. Taking
to Twitter, Amitabh Bachchan posted, "Strange is it not, that the passing
of the near and dear and colleagues, coerces one to start questioning one's own
longevity!" Many started taking this as a validation for Vinod Khanna's
death.
But, the rumours were put to rest after the hospital issues
an official statement stating that the actor is recuperating and is presently
stable. The actor was admitted to Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital on
Friday with severe dehydration. He is under the care of our doctors and has
responded positively to the treatment and is now stable. His family thanks his
well-wishers for the good wishes and requests to respect their privacy,"
the hospital spokesperson said.
Considered as one of the most dashing star of his times,
Vinod Khanna has shared screen space with senior Bachchan in numerous pictures including
Parvarish, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Khoon Pasina, Zameer and Amar Akabar
Anthony.
