It’s a trouble for Salman Khan in the 1998 Chinkara poaching
case. In fresh development, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the actor
on Friday morning and has agreed to hear the plea filed by Vasundhara
Raje-led Rajasthan Government challenging Salman Khan’s acquittal in chinkara
case. The SC has also issued a notice to the actor.
This comes after the Rajasthan government, on October 19
this year, challenged the actor's acquittal in the two cases related to
poaching. While the Rajasthan High Court had acquitted the actor in July, the
state government had contended in October that Salman should be ordered to
surrender. The Vasundhara Raje-led Rajasthan Government, in their appeal,
had asked the top court to direct the superstar to surrender. They claim that
Salman's driver was not intentionally cross-examined by his lawyers.
In 1998, Khan and seven others were accused of hunting and
killing chinkara in two separate incidents during the shooting for the
film Hum Sath Sath Hain.
