Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut indulged in a public
mudslinging war in January this year. It all started after Kangana addressed
Hrithik as her 'silly ex'.
According to a report in a magazine, the Mumbai police's
forensic probe into the private and romantic email exchanges between Kangana
and Hrithik, has reached a dead end. While Kangana claimed those emails were a
proof that she was in a relationship with Hrithik, the latter denied the claims
and called it to be a work of an imposter. Since the case has failed to draw
any conclusion, the Cyber police is likely to close it.
The Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, informed the
magazine, "We have been unable to find anything on the mail ID as the
server is located in the US. Now it is very difficult to ascertain who was
using the account. Still, we will try to conclude [the case] from the available
evidence."
"It's a dead end. Only data from the server based in
the US could have helped us in identifying the user of the email account,"
a senior police officer said the magazine.
“We are not surprised to learn that the police have, after a
thorough investigation, filed a NIL report, which means that they could not
trace any imposter as was claimed by Hrithik Roshan...Kangana has always been
maintaining that there was no imposter ever," Kangana Ranaut's lawyer
Rizwaan Siddiquee quoted to the magazine.
He further added, “No one can deny the fact that Kangana had
to uselessly bear the brunt of unwarranted and uncalled for actions on the part
of Hrithik Roshan."
