Salman’s association with Coca-Cola end now for Thums Up!

As per news, the Coca-Cola dropped Salman Khan as brand ambassador for its soft drink Thums Up after four years of association. The contract was to be renewed as it expired last month but the company chose not to renew it.

The joint statement released by Salman Khan and Coca-Cola tells, “In light of this, both parties have mutually decided not to renew the current contract.” The reason for not renewing the contract is Salman's association with the reality show, Bigg Boss.

Twitterati started accusing Khan for it, writing that it's because of the controversies he is a part of. Particularly the actor's take on Pakistani artists telling “they were not terrorists” when asked whether they should be allowed to work in Indian movies after the Uri attack.

Apparently, Coca-Cola India is in talks with actor Ranveer Singh to replace 50-year-old Khan. But, the company didn't open up on any sort of details.
