Nowadays, playing a Naagin seems to be in trend in TV
industry. After Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan, Debina Bonnerjee and Priyal Gor in Naagin, Santoshi
Maa and Iccha Pyaari Naagin correspondingly, actress Karishma
Tanna is ready to turn a snake woman in Yash Patnaik's Nagarjun.
In a chat with a famous daily, Karishma told, "I play
the new antagonist, who seeks revenge on Astika (Nikitin Dheer) for trying to
kill me. People assumed that I wasn't open to doing TV probably because I was
doing a film and reality shows. I have become choosy and want to take up
substantial roles."
Enquire her if she found the role of Naagin a
substantial one and Karishma confesses, "Audiences have taken a
liking for supernatural and fantasy shows. The genre is doing well on the small
screen and I wanted to get into that mould. I have never played a naagin and
such roles have always intrigued me."
Beside her work, if there is anything that has made news,
then it is definitely her much talked about relationship with Upen Patel that
bloomed during the Bigg Boss days. When questioned about the relationship and
the public break up, Karishma disclosed, "I will only talk about my work.
I have always stayed away from commenting on my personal life and that remains
unchanged. I want to laugh about it and nothing else."
