The Baahubali makers are on cloud nine. Not only has the
first part Baahubali minted moolah at the box office, but now comes the news
that the second part Baahubali 2 has been sold at a huge amount for its
satellite rights.
It seems that due to its pre-release deals, the movie has
bagged a whopping Rs 51 crore from its satellite rights itself. This is an epic
amount which only Bollywood superstars and their movies command today. With Rs
600 crore coming in from the first part, Baahubali is no less than a magnum
opus and the enthusiasm levels are now sky high. The satellite rights of all
versions of the first part Baahubali had fetched Rs 45 crore. The price for the
second part has skyrocketed due to the fan hysteria the movie has created with
its first part.
News has it that Sony TV Network has acquired the satellite
rights for the Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer. And it seems with this, the
money game has already kicked off for Baahubali 2. The movie is anticipated to
hit theaters on April 28, 2017.
