As per reports that Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is
going through a rough patch regarding Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's role in the
movie. At a latest award show, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra spoke about
this issue. Remarkably, the two so-called on-off lovers had very similar
thoughts on the entire matter.
Sidharth told, "As an actor a part of the film
industry, I feel it is not fair to the filmmaker. If people knew how films were
made..this film was shot an year back, and during the time, the political
scenario was quite different. I myself have worked with the said actor
(Fawad..cannot be named?) That film (Kapoor n Sons) had also released this
year. I feel it is not fair to a filmmaker who is making a love story. It has
nothing to do with the political scenario. We are also not stopping any other
ties with that country (Pakistan). As part of the fraternity, I hope we have a
wonderful release and people get to see the wonderful story made by Mr. Karan
Johar."
Alia told, "I just want to say that I found the film
very beautiful, on a personal level. I have seen bits of it andI feel it is a
very emotional film. On the other level, as a proud resident of the country and
as a priveleged member of the industry, I feel that whatever is happening with
the film at this moment is unfair. During theshoot of the film an year back,
the climate was good. The current climate I know how it is. But during that
time, the climate was good. I don't want to say anything more, but I have given
my answer."
