Finally, the makers of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi have officially announced that the upcoming biographical movie will release theatrically on February 25, 2022. While making the announcement the makers revealed, “Witness her reign in cinemas near you on 25th February 2022 #GangubaiKathiawadi.”

Adapted from a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's
book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Ganga Harjivandas, the plot of the movie
revolves around the life of a simple girl who is forced to embrace the gangster
lifestyle to mark her own territory as a madame in the red-light area of
Kamathipura.
