Rakul Preet Singh’s confession on losing films due to nepotism!

Rakul Preet Singh, who has previously appeared in Tamil and Telugu films, made her Bollywood debut with 2014's Yaariyan. She has appeared in various Hindi films, such as De De Pyaar De, Runway 34, Doctor G, Thank God, and Chhatriwali. Rakul is now preparing for De De Pyaar De 2, opposite Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The actress recently spoke about nepotism and why she isn't bitter about missed opportunities in her career.

Rakul Preet Singh highlighted nepotism in a media interview and admitted to having lost films. Rakul recalls her father telling her about his army experience after she expressed interest in entering. The actress dislikes being bitter because she believes those projects "weren't meant for her".

"I had to go into the army, my dad would share his experience with me. So nepotism, I don't think too much of (it). Yes, ye hota hai, filmein lee gayi hain but I am not the kind of person jo bitter hoke beth jaayega (It happens, I have lost films...I am not the kind of person who will end up feeling bitter), may be it was not meant for me," Rakul disclosed.

The Doctor G actress emphasized that missing opportunities is unavoidable, and that you can only progress if you accept it. Rakul agreed with her judgment and presented a hypothetical instance from the medical sector. Rakul noted that it is common for a doctor to be unable to attend a board meeting and to be replaced by someone else.

Rakul went on to declare that she believes in helping her future children in need and that she will not turn it down. The actress stated that she would not invite them to wait in line and try their luck. The De De Pyaar De star has also indicated that she will do her best to assist them. The 33-year-old actress made the connection by suggesting that a star child's "easy access" to the film industry is a result of his or her parents' hard work.

Rakul Preet is expected to film her next De De Pyaar De 2 schedule in Punjab, alongside co-stars Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan.

A media source disclosed, "As of now, the production is busy preparing for a 45-50 day schedule in some beautiful and rustic locations in Punjab." R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, and other cast and crew members will fly to Punjab next month, while Ajay Devgn will join them after finishing his work on Son of Sardar 2 in the UK, according to the same news outlet.

The sequel aims to improve the first film's humor while also introducing a fresh dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor. The most notable part of the sequel will be the fascinating interplay between Anil and Ajay's characters, which will provide a new dimension to their on-screen chemistry. Bollywood celeb Ajay Devgn’s forthcoming film Runway 34 is making headlines due to its unique storyline and a stellar cast. The movie, inspired by true events, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Boman Irani along with him. It will also feature Aakanksha Singh and Angira Dhar in key roles.

Recently, in a media chat, Rakul Preet has disclosed her parents’ reaction when she signed for Runway 34. For the information, Rakul’s father was himself an army officer, which makes this film a personal experience for her. Disclosing her father’s reaction, Rakul revealed, “My parents love that I am wearing a uniform in the film, but they won’t say anything until they watch it. My father gives me critical reviews. So, for me, they are the public; I get the best reviews from them.”

Revealing about the preparations for her role, Rakul disclosed that the real homework was to understand the cockpit and there was a caption on the set to guide them. The 31-yr-old also said that she has even worked a lot on her tone for the film. 

She further went on to disclose that since there was a restricted space to shoot, Ajay Devgn had placed seven cameras in the cockpit so that they don’t have to repeat any shot.

Runway 34 is slated to release theatrically on the 29th of April, 2022.

The actress responded, “I’ll just say that you know, sometimes you can have one of those low days, where I have woken up and I've checked my Instagram and I'm like ‘what the hell’ you know. You're a public figure, not a public property. There's a difference and I think at that time this whole Me Too campaign was going on, and I'd just done a conclave, you know, talking about it and suddenly someone's writing like this to me and I just felt very, I felt, I remember how can I just take this if I'm going to conclaves and talking about respect for women, and I shut up here, and, and just because I should not say anything so I just got this bout of anger in me, you know.”

Rakul furthermore revealed, “Though I realized that I shouldn't have been so angry but It's okay. It's human, so then I did reply and then I just realized you know what, these are people who don't even matter. Because honestly if even now we'll open our Instagram there'll be 10 000 people who have an opinion on everything. You can't keep shouting about and clearing their minds and that's the sad truth, and I really hope if you want to ask me one thing that changes about social media, is how people get a life”

Rakul Preet Singh feels Rekha of 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' in Marjaavaan!

In a media chat, Rakul Preet Singh disclosed that how director Milap Zaveri managed to persuade her for a special role in Marjaavaan. She further added that how Rekhaji didn’t have a full-length role in Chandramukhi, neither did Tabu in Jeet but despite that, they managed to create the impact with their strong roles.

Rakul revealed, “This is my Rekha of 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar', my Chandramukhi of 'Devdas'. Aarzoo is a tawaif of the ’90s with nazaaqat and shayari. I’ve grown up on characters like her but haven’t seen them lately. Arzoo has raw sex appeal as opposed to De De Pyaar De’s girl-next-door Ayesha. Plus, there are Milap’s bhaari bharkam dialogues. As for screen time, Rekhaji didn’t have a full-length role, neither did Tabu in 'Jeet'. Even Chandramukhi was a supporting role. Yet, they are all remembered. I’d rather see a role for what it is than compare it with what it is not.”

Gorgeous Rakul Preet Singh will soon be seen in a Telugu movie, Manmadhudu 2 opposite Nagarjuna Akkineni. The makers of the movie lately released a new teaser to introduce Rakul's character Avantika and it went viral in no time. The teaser sees Rakul as Avantika in a free-spirited role. While a section of the viewers loved Rakul's role in the teaser, others took offence to a few bold scenes, one of them shows Rakul Preet smoking a cigarette. But, not only Rakul but also director Rahul Ravindran and his singer wife Chinmayi Sripaada were trolled for being double standards. 

On trolling for smoking scene, Rakul Preet responded, "I don't really get bothered by trolls. I think logo ka kaam hai kehna, kuch toh log kahenge. We are playing characters, now whether it is Kabir Singh, if Shahid is smoking in the film it does not make him a smoker. No way he is promoting smoking. He is playing a character Arjun Reddy that is flawed and he does those things. In real life Shahid Kapoor is a vegetarian, we all know that. People should disassociate to what we are playing onscreen is different and it is a story of that one person...we are not putting the entire girl clan into girls not showing in the right way. That's not happening. It is that one character Avantika that smokes and it's her story. Once you see the film, people will know why she does. Treat it like the character...For me, it was something different. I really don't pay attention to trolls...there are bigger and better things to do."
