Now, Ayushmann reveled about the development and specified that he is planning to join the next installment of the horror comedy universe, after Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya. "Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are trying to build a horror universe. It is very interesting and intriguing, and it is very new for the Indian audience. So, let’s see when it happens and we will have an official announcement soon," said the National award-winning actor while talking to a media source.

South films know the market very well, says Ayushmann Khurrana!

Talking on the Bollywood vs South debate, Ayushmann Khurrana was quoted telling, “I would like to say that the South films know its market very well. They know the pulse of the public. It is just a matter of coincidence that at this time our films are not able to pull public to theatres. Now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has worked. Somewhere the film has connected with the audience. I agree that there is a mistake in the semantics of commercial cinema.”

He continued telling, “Sometimes our films are more intelligent or they get a little too massy. We need to find a midway between the two. There the semantics of complete commercial films is different; their tone is different. See, there is no debate between North and South. Here it is just a question of audience connection. No one is seeing if it is a Hindi film or a Tamil or Telugu film, if you like the story, you will see it. Now, people are liking Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2."

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana will soon be collaborating again with his Article 15 director Anubhav Sinha for Anek. The movie which revolves around the country's north-east tensions and people, will see the actor-director touching upon yet another social issue.

In a media chat, Ayushmann talked about doing an important film like Anek as well as his love for Fahadh Faasi and Malayalam cinema.

Talking about striking a balance at the box office, Ayushmann revealed, "Dream Girl, Badhaai Ho, and Bala were light-hearted films. An Action Hero is a commercial film. You have to do commercial cinema so that cinema like Anek and Article 15 would find support. You get courage from your commercially successful films to do films like Anek and Article 15. That balance is very important. Of course, you can’t view Anek through a commercial lens. This is not a 100-Crore film. It’s an important film."

When quizzed what does he love watching, Ayushmann added, "I watch all kinds of cinema. I love watching Malayalam cinema. I am a huge fan of Fahadh Faasil. His films are not commercial per se. He listens to his heart. I listen to Malayalam songs, Bengali songs. So, I think every genre of cinema is important. You need to know more about your country than knowing about world cinema. You need to know the people you are trying to connect with."

However, Ayushmann for the first time will be seen essaying the role of a homosexual character in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Talking about it, he revealed to a daily that doing Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was one of the most important decisions of his life. Many people from the industry asked him to rethink this because no leading hero has ever portrayed a gay man on screen. But he knew this stereotype needed to be shattered, and decided to take the plunge.

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya and bankrolled by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated for February 21, 2020.

Versatile star Ayushmann Khurrana is thrilled and excited about the first day of "Gulabo Sitabo" shoot with superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

Ayushmann has been a big fan of Big B since he was a kid and of course, he is overjoyed to learn from the icon. He is thankful to Sircar for casting him along with the megastar. 

"Ever since I teamed up with Shoojit sir for 'Vicky Donor', I have only been wanting to work again with a genius like him. He is a master storyteller and he has a very distinct and a unique voice in Bollywood," Ayushmann told in a statement. 

"He gave me my big break and I will always be indebted to him for 'Vicky Donor', a film that made it possible for me to chase my dreams in this cut-throat industry. I'm delighted that he wanted to cast me in 'Gulabo Sitabo'." 

He also thanked Sircar for making his all-time dream to work with Amitabh come true.

"It's a jackpot for me and I'm still pinching myself that I will have the incredible opportunity to share screen space with Bachchan Sir and learn from him," told Ayushmann.

Ayushmann feels he will become a better actor after working with Bachchan sir. "As an actor, I look to constantly better myself and 'Gulabo Sitabo' will certainly make me a better actor because I'm not going to let this opportunity of learning from the best actor of our industry go.

"I'm equally thrilled and anxious about our first scene together. I think I will be a huge fanboy walking into the set," he further added.
