Shilpa Shetty discloses how she braved the storm of Raj Kundra controversy!

During the launch event of her upcoming movie Nikamma’s trailer in Mumbai on 17^th May, the Dhadkan actress Shilpa was asked about her recent 'tough phase' in her life, in which she was questioned in relation to her husband-businessman Raj Kundra's arrest in the alleged case last year.

On this, the Baazigar actress rejected to directly talk about the controversy. She said that the event was about her latest film and not her personal life. Later, she also spoke about going through a difficult phase. Shilpa opened up about her character in the movie and disclosed how she braved the storm. Shilpa told, "My avatar in the movie, rising above everything and playing a ‘superwoman’, I think we all have played this very strong character in our real lives. Many of us don’t talk about it. We’ve all been very strong and we’ve braved the storm, and I think it is time to celebrate newer beginnings and positivity.”

For the information, Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 in Mumbai, following which he was sent to judicial custody till July 23, 2021, and during those tough times, Shilpa had requested people to respect their privacy, particularly that of her children. Raj was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 on September 20, 2021, after being in custody for almost two months.

 

Her film Nikamma is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sabbir Khan Films and directed by Sabbir Khan. It is slated to release in theatres on June 17 and will be witnessing a box office clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh's Doctor G.

John Abraham’s desire to explore sci-fi genre!

As per media updates, the sci-fi action movie 'Attack: Part 1', starring John Abraham, is all set to have its OTT premiere on May 27. 'Attack' is the first Indian super soldier movie that features high-octane action, romance, and drama. The movie, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Rakul Preet, has been directed by Lakshya Raj Anand.

In a latest media chat, John talked about exploring the sci-fi genre in Bollywood and if he wished for other filmmakers to delve more into the genre. John was asked about his desire to explore sci-fi as a genre and his attempt to encourage more Indian filmmakers to consider this genre. John responded saying that he hasn’t let a way to inspire more filmmakers and actors to explore the genre of sci-fi and nor is he trying to give a competition to international action movies.

“Firstly, I am just doing what I believe in, so I am not encouraging filmmakers to explore a new genre. I just believe in this concept. Secondly, you can’t compete with Hollywood with their budgets. So, I am trying to make the best with the budgets I have,” John ended chat.

Shilpa Shetty recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s tips on Baazigar film set!

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is making headlines after the release of the trailer of her upcoming movie Nikamma. During the trailer launch, Shilpa walked down memory lane and recalled her three-decade-long journey in the film industry. She also thanked Baazigar co-star Shah Rukh Khan for giving her tips on how to survive in Bollywood.

Remembering her first day on Baazigar sets, Shilpa Shetty said, “I didn’t know Hindi then, my grammar is still not that good but I do work hard. I have learnt Urdu. I talk a lot in Hindi. My first shot was in a park with Shah Rukh Khan, before the song ‘Kitabe Bahut Si’. At that time, I would quickly say my lines and finish it off and not face the camera. So Shah Rukh would say ‘look at the camera, the camera is your audience and say the lines’.”

The actress further went on to call her journey in showbiz a ‘roller-coaster ride’ full of highs and lows. “I live in the moment and that has been my attitude always, it has been positive,” she further added. Shilpa admitted that at the time she began acting, she didn’t even know how to talk in Hindi. She feels the reason why she has lasted so long is that she loved her work very much. The Dhadkan actress also took the opportunity and thanked her fans and filmmakers for always supporting her.

AR Rahman opens up on representing India at the Cannes 2022!

As we all know that Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious movie events. The festival will see numerous prominent celebs and artists from all over the globe. And, this year brightest stars from India including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pooja Hegde, AR Rahman, and others will be representing the country and are all set to walk the red carpet.

Recently, music maestro AR Rahman told to a media source and told that it is a great honour to be a part of such an important event. “It is a great honour to be here. I also have my first directorial film which is premiering at Cannes XR,” he told.

Prasoon Joshi present at the festival also told, “India has always come to Cannes. There are two parts to Cannes, one is the market & the other is where the films are showcased, both are very important for us. This is a special year because India is the county of honour”.

For the information, India has been named as the official 'Country of Honour’ at the upcoming Marche` Du Film. Abhimanyu Dassani talks about working with Shilpa Shetty in Nikamma!

Bollywood Newbie Abhimanyu Dassani, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Nikamma'. He revealed about his experience of working on the movie with his co-actor Shilpa Shetty, at the trailer launch of the movie.

The actor told that Shilpa, who makes her comeback after 14 years with the movie, lifts up the mood of the place the moment she walks in. He revealed in a media, "Even after all these years, she has a childlike curiosity towards her work which is something I really appreciate and wish to cultivate for myself."

Furthermore, He revealed, "We both jammed on fitness. I had to gain ten kilos for the film," to which Shilpa interjected by joking, "kitna khata hai ye (how much does he eat!)."

In the end, Abhimanyu revealed that he has learnt to enjoy every meal, "During the filming we had a blast as we went around the city of Lucknow and gorged on local delicacies from Sunday to Friday."

Boney Kapoor to reveal about Janhvi Kapoor’s role in Khushi Kapoor's Bollywood debut!

As we all know that Khushi Kapoor will be making her big Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies, which will also mark the debut of Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda. It also features Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina. The first look and teaser of the movie were released on May 14. It is an adaptation of the famous Archie comics and will be released on Netflix in 2023.

In a latest media chat, Boney Kapoor expressed his pleasure about his daughter Khushi's debut in the industry. He also disclosed that Janhvi Kapoor essayed an important role in her little sister's debut. Boney told that Khushi had expressed her desire to become an actor after Janhvi began shooting for her debut movie, Dhadak in 2018. Later, as a part to prepare herself for the acting profession, Khushi was sent to New York Film School in 2019.

Furthermore, he also revealed that The Archies is the perfect launch project for Khushi. Calling it a 'dream project', he told that this film has the advantage of taking the older generation audiences on a nostalgic trip as everyone has been a big fan of Archie. Web series star Ishan Mishra opens up on the upcoming Janhit Mein Jaari!

Web series star Ishan Mishra, who is best known for his performances in web series 'It's Not That Simple 2' and 'Laakhon Mein Ek 2' is all set to make his movie debut with 'Janhit Mein Jari' starring along with Nushrratt Bharuccha, Vijay Raaz and others.

Speaking about his role, he tells, "I am playing a very interesting part called Achaanak in the film who is also a condom company salesman. I would wait for the film to release and not spill the beans now. So last year I got an opportunity to audition for the same. I had given the screen test for the same and the director liked it, soon after that I had a short meeting with him and one week later I was informed that I'm assigned for this part."

Speaking about his working experience with Nushrratt Bharuccha, Vijay Raaz and others he says: "It was certainly a mind-blowing experience. You get to observe and learn a lot from each one of them. They are very accomplished senior actors and have a lot of experience to offer to newcomers like me. Most importantly, they are great human beings. It was really an amazing experience shooting in my hometown Gwalior for the movie."

About the movie, he reveals, “'Janhit Mein Jaari' is the story of a young girl, a crusader who takes up a challenging job selling condoms in a small town in MP, India. The film takes one through the journey of the challenges she faces amidst the social taboo and how she takes on the resistance from her family and the entire town. All told through the trademark Raaj Shandilya humour."

Sharddha Kapoor starrer Naagin’s VFX work to start in June!

As per media updates, the makers of Sharddha Kapoor starrer Naagin will start work on visual effects from next month. “Naagin is a big project, and will require heavy VFX too. So the makers will start VFX modelling from June. Other pre-production work including casting for supporting actors and scouting for apt locations has already begun. Shraddha will start shooting for the film after completing her work on Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ranbir Kapoor,” reveal a source close to the development.

Earlier in October 2020, Sharddha Kapoor publicly announced that she will be a part of Nikhil Dwivedi and Vishal Furia’s Naagin. “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma'am's Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore,” the actress wrote on Twitter.
