AR Rahman opens up on representing India at the Cannes 2022!

As we all know that Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious movie events. The festival will see numerous prominent celebs and artists from all over the globe. And, this year brightest stars from India including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pooja Hegde, AR Rahman, and others will be representing the country and are all set to walk the red carpet.

Recently, music maestro AR Rahman told to a media source and told that it is a great honour to be a part of such an important event. “It is a great honour to be here. I also have my first directorial film which is premiering at Cannes XR,” he told.

Prasoon Joshi present at the festival also told, “India has always come to Cannes. There are two parts to Cannes, one is the market & the other is where the films are showcased, both are very important for us. This is a special year because India is the county of honour”.

For the information, India has been named as the official 'Country of Honour’ at the upcoming Marche` Du Film. The delegation includes actor-producer R Madhavan, Akshay Kumar, music composer AR Rahman, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pooja Hegde, and Nayanthara along with CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur amongst others. This year, Deepika Padukone is part of the jury.

Well-known musician AR Rahman was one of the many Asian celebs who graced the Grammys this year. Music's biggest night, Grammys 2022, was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this year. The industry's biggies turned out and graced the red carpet in their most glitzy avatars. Trevor Noah also returned as host this year.

On his Twitter, AR Rahman disclosed that he was attending the awards night and this time around, the musician had son AR Ameen for company. The Academy award winning musician brought his son for the first time and shared the big update with his admirers on social media.

Clicking a selfie with son Ameen, AR Rahman captioned it, "Grammys," with a love-struck emoji. AR Ameen, who is also a budding singer, even made a red carpet appearance with his father. AR Rahman shared a pic from the red carpet as well and captioned it, "Parenting

AR Rahman's mentor avatar for all-female music studio in Dubai!

As per the reports, the music director whose career spans over 25 years specified that he is looking forward to mentoring an all-female studio. Rahman will be attached to the all-female music studio called The Firdaus Women’s Orchestra. The studio which is all set to perform at the forthcoming Expo 2020 will have 50 female musicians from UAE, North Africa, and Afghanistan.

Recently, the music director made headlines, as he turned producer with the film 99 songs.

Now, AR Rahman is looking forward to training the studio and bring new talent into the musical field.
