Blade Runner fame Rutger Hauer passes away at 75!

Hollywood star Rutger Hauer of Blade Runner fame passed away on July 19, 2019. This sad news has been verified by the late actor's agent who also specified that a funeral was being held on Wednesday i.e. July 24, 2019. The 75 - year old actor passed away in Netherlands post a short illness.

Rutger Hauer shared the screen space with actor Harrison Ford in the film Blade Runner in which he essayed the role of Roy Batty. Blade Runner happens to be one of the best Hollywood movies which is loved even today.

Director Guillermo Del Toro took to his Twitter account and shared the sad news about Rutger's death and also paid a tribute to the late actor. Guillermo posted, "RIP the great Rutger Hauer: an intense, deep, genuine and magnetic actor that brought truth, power and beauty to his films. My personal favorites: Flesh + Blood, Eureka, The Hitcher, Blade Runner, Ladyhawke and Blind Fury."

Now, in a latest media chat, Shahid Kapoor opened up about the rumours of him charging a whopping Rs. 35 crores as fees post the success of Kabir Singh.

 “I have to sign a film to receive any money. I think the only people who are making money are Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. I have exactly the same bank balance I had before Kabir Singh, I have to sign another project before I get paid”, revealed Shahid, clearing the air surrounding fee hike.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan feels honours to work with Mani Ratnam!

As we know, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has worked with the filmmaker Mani Ratnam again, since her movie in 1997, Iruvar. Now, Aishwarya is all set to essay the role of an antagonist in the adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan and as she gears up to work with her guru, Aishwarya shared her feelings about the same.

In a latest media chat, Aishwarya opened up about her forthcoming project with Mani Ratnam. The film has been the talk of the town since Aishwarya pronounced her association with it at Cannes 2019. Aishwarya told that she is really honoured and privileged to work with her guru again in the adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan. Aishwarya also said that she is looking forward to the collaboration again. Aishwarya's last film in South was with Rajinikanth’s Robot back in 2010.

Aishwarya revealed, “You all already know. I am working with Mani garu, my guru, in Ponniyin Selvan. It is my honour and privilege to work with him any and every time, throughout my lifetime as an actor. I am really looking forward to it.”

Jayasurya to star in Ramasethu as ‘Metro Man’!

Jayasurya has essxayed the role of footballer VP Sathyan in Captain. The actor has also signed a biopic where he will be playing the role of famous actor Sathyan.

Now, the actor is all set to play the role of ‘Metro Man’ E Sreedharan in the biopic called Ramasethu: A Bridge Between God and Society. This movie is directed by VK Prakash and the script is written by S Suresh Babu. Previously, S Suresh Babu, who scripted movies like Shikkar and Kanal was planning on making a film called Arabikkadalinte Rani based on the Metro Man’s life. But, now the official biopic on E Sreedharan will be called Ramasethu.

The film will track the professional journey of E Sreedharan. This film will see Jayasurya playing E Sreedharan from 30 till 85 years of age. The film will be shot in locations like Tripunithura, Rameswaram, Cochin Shipyard and Konkan rail route which will be the most important locations to highlight in this film.

No Hollywood films for Akshay Kumar!

Evergreen star Akshay Kumar is presently busy gearing up for his next release Mission Mangal. The science fiction drama is helmed by Jagan Shakti and jointly produced by Akshay Kumar, R. Balki, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu. The movie is scheduled to release in India on 15 August 2019 and also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H. G. Dattatreya and Sonakshi Sinha. It is loosely based on the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission.

Rishi Kapoor to praise son Ranbir Kapoor's efforts for his cancer battle!

Rishi Kapoor will also be undergoing a bone - marrow transplant post which he will be returning back to India.

He also talked about his reaction after getting to know about his diagnosis and son Ranbir Kapoor's efforts in getting him treated as soon as possible. Rishi revealed, "There was no time to react. I was shooting in Delhi. I was on the sixth day shoot of a new film, when my son (Ranbir Kapoor) and a close family associate came to Delhi, spoke to my producers and explained the problem. By evening, they got me to Mumbai and soon after, they flew me to New York. I had no time to react or introspect. My son literally forced me into the aircraft and flew here with me. The acceptance comes gradually."

As per reports, Rishi Kapoor will reunite with former co - star Juhi Chawla for a forthcoming film after almost a decade.

I offered to produce the film for him and asked him what if we got Salman on board as Pandey ji. He was instantly excited and things quickly fell in place,” Arbaaz revealed.

While the shooting of Dabangg 3 began in Maheshwar, the cast and crew then shot in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra.

As per a report, Farhad Samji, who helmed Akshay in It’s Entertainment was the one to convince Akshay to sing a song in the 2014 film, and since Farhad Samji is directed Housefull 4, he came up with the idea to allow Akshay to rap in the movie because this is something that Akshay has never done before. “Farhad Samji, who was one of the directors of It’s Entertainment, had convinced Akshay to croon the title track of the comedy. This time too, it was his idea that Akki explores his rapping skills. While producer Sajid Nadiadwala jumped at the idea, the producer-director due then convinced their leading man to give his nod. The Tanishk Bagchi composition us yet to be recorded. The makers are yet to decide if it should be a solo track or one that sees him croon alongside Mika Singh,” as per a daily.

Now, Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for her next Khandaani Shafakhana. In a latest media chat, Sonakshi opened about her movie choices and disclosed that she is content with how her career in Bollywood has shaped up so far.

Speaking about her movies, Sonakshi revealed, "It (box office numbers) was something that I never craved for. It just happened to me. When I started acting I never thought my films will do Rs 100 crore business. They were all blockbusters and I am glad for the love that I got from the audience. Things changed for everyone. Even my choices as an actor changed." Sonakshi added that her film choices have always been intuitive.

She further added that the outcome of the movie is never in an actor's hands. “My films may not have worked but my performance was never panned. I have always been appreciated for my performance which makes me happy and that is the validation that I need,” Sonakshi disclosed.

Kevin Feige reveals about the future of X Men in the MCU!

Well-known Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, revealed the slate of upcoming movies from the Phase 4 lineup. We were introduced to the cast of numerous movies like The Eternals and Shan-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings and also got updates on Doctor Strange's sequel titled Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness and Thor 4 titled Thor: Love And Thunder. Towards the end of the presentation, Kevin disclosed that movies on Fantastic Four and The Mutants aka X-Men was also in the developmental stages.

Speaking about The Mutants, Disney lately acquired 20th Century Fox and hence, X-Men will now come under the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Whatever we do will be quite different from what's been done before." The last time we saw the X-Men was in X-Men: Dark Phoenix which regrettably tanked at the box-office.

Talking further about Phase 4, Kevin revealed, "Phase 4 is about beginnings. Phase 4 is about learning new things about characters you already think you know like Black Widow. Meeting incredible new characters like The Eternals and Shan-Chi. Veteran Sanjay Dutt has ventured into production and the first movie he produced is a Marathi movie titled Baba. The movie is directed by Raj R Gupta. As per a daily, at the trailer launch Sanjay was questioned what kind of role he would like to play at his age.

Sanjay Dutt revealed that he can't dance around trees and with girls. He would like to do some great roles like Mel Gibson and Denzel Washington do. He further added, "I would like to do that kind of characters. It has been a long journey from Rocky till now and I learnt a lot as I have worked with a lot of big people."

When questioned why he backed a Marathi movie, he responded that he wants to do all kinds of cinema and not limit to only content-driven movies. Sanjay Dutt told that he understands that content is very important but entertainment is essential too.
