Hollywood star Rutger Hauer of Blade Runner fame passed away
on July 19, 2019. This sad news has been verified by the late actor's agent who
also specified that a funeral was being held on Wednesday i.e. July 24, 2019.
The 75 - year old actor passed away in Netherlands post a short illness.
Rutger Hauer shared the screen space with actor Harrison
Ford in the film Blade Runner in which he essayed the role of Roy Batty. Blade
Runner happens to be one of the best Hollywood movies which is loved even
today.
Director Guillermo Del Toro took to his Twitter account and
shared the sad news about Rutger's death and also paid a tribute to the late
actor. Guillermo posted, "RIP the great Rutger Hauer: an intense, deep,
genuine and magnetic actor that brought truth, power and beauty to his films.
My personal favorites: Flesh + Blood, Eureka, The Hitcher, Blade Runner,
Ladyhawke and Blind Fury."
