With Priyanka Chopra making news these days, it’s easy to
forget that another desi girl went West first.
I’m talking about Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire and
Rise of the Planet of the Apes fame. The Mumbaikar has just bagged a new
Hollywood flick called Love, Wedding, Repeat, where she’ll co-star with Olivia
Munn and Sam Claflin. The rom-com centres on a guy who is unexpectedly reunited
with the woman he loves at his sister’s wedding. Let’s hope Freida gets the
chance to shine in the ensemble piece.
