Neena Gupta’s career is in an upwards trajectory again post
Badhaai Ho, and now she’s signed on to play Akshay Kumar’s mother in Sooryavanshi.
The veteran actress has famously said that she refuses to do
meaningless roles at this point in her career, so I’m sure she’ll have a
pivotal part in the latest instalment from Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe. The
action film will see Akki as the Chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, while
Katrina Kaif plays his lady love. I’m sure Neena will hold her own alongside
the two A-listers!
