Months after the iconic RK Studios was burned to the ground
comes news that the Kapoors have sold the property.
The new owner is a top property development company that
plans to build a 350,000 sq.ft residential and retail complex on the 2.2 acre
block. No one is telling how much the famous khandaan got for the sale but I
know for sure that the price ran into the millions of dollars. Fortunately for
us all, the studio and what it represented will survive in the films that were
made there while it was still standing.
