Anil Sharma is set to announce a sequel to Gadar 18 years
after he gave us one of Indian cinema’s best patriotic films.
The director has been working on the script for 15 years and
has zeroed in on an idea that’ll pick up Tara, Sakeena and their son Jeet’s
story after they start their happily-ever-after in India. While Gadar was set
against the backdrop of the Partition, part two will show what life was like in
newly Independent India. One thing’s for sure – Gadar 2 won’t work if Sunny
Deol doesn’t return, so let’s hope he does!
