Ayushmann Khurrana has always put his hand up to do socially
progressive films, and for a while he’s been saying how he wants to do one on
homosexuality.
Well, the actor has just gotten his wish after signing a
gay-centric sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The new project titled Shubh
Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan will tell the story of how two conservative parents come
to terms with their son’s sexual orientation. The film will be helmed by Hitesh
Kewalya, who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the original. I’m sure he’ll
treat the story with the sensitivity it deserves.
