Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan on the card!

Ayushmann Khurrana has always put his hand up to do socially progressive films, and for a while he’s been saying how he wants to do one on homosexuality.

Well, the actor has just gotten his wish after signing a gay-centric sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The new project titled Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan will tell the story of how two conservative parents come to terms with their son’s sexual orientation. The film will be helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the original. I’m sure he’ll treat the story with the sensitivity it deserves.

Bollywood’s well-known actor Ayushmann Khurrana has supported the #MeToo movement by telling that men should understand what consent is.

Ayushmann visited the PVR Citi Mall here on Saturday to know the viewer’s reaction for his newest movie "Badhaai Ho".

Responding to the #MeToo campaign that has gathered momentum in India, particularly in Bollywood, Ayushmann revealed, "The #MeToo movement is a good movement, but at the same time, I feel both parties should be given equal opportunities to share their account and to prove their innocence. Having said that, I feel women should be respected and they shouldn't be harassed. There should be stringent rules at every workplace. It is not only about workplace, but I think that the code of conduct should be followed in every sphere of society, be it our family or where we live."

Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has admired actors Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khuranna. She told the two "talented" actors deserve all the glory.

"What a year 2018 is turning out to be for Bollywood? Rajkummar Rao gets his first Rs 100 crore film, and now looks like Ayushmann is going to get his one too. When solid actors like these do get to be true blue box office stars, change is here 'Badhaai Ho'," filmmaker R.S. Prasanna posted on Sunday.

To which, Tiwari responded, "Beautifully said my dear friend R.S. Prasanna. Rajkummar, Ayushmann, you talented, hardworking and amazing humans, deserve all the glory and of course, the 'tadka' of Rs 100 crore. Thank you for being a part of my small journey in films. Keep shining and make us proud."

Ayushmann Khurrana opens up about wife Tahira Kashyap’s stint as director!

Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana is well-known celeb as actor, singer and anchor. But a few people did know that Ayushmann has a similarly talented wife and we say this because Tahira Kashyap is all set to woo us with her directorial debut. Ayushmann’s wife is gearing up to direct her first feature movie. In addition a housewife, Tahira Kashyap is a theatre writer-director, author, teacher and programming head of a radio station up North.

A delighted hubby, Ayushmann Khurrana wrote on social media telling, “From writing books, plays, directing theatre productions to making a feature film now. So proud of u @tahira_k. The first step towards your dream. You have written a wonderful script and you are backed by the most credible people…..” 

Earlier, Tahira had directed a short movie titled Toffee, which was produced by Ayushmann himself.

In a chat with a daily, Tahira revealed, “I am delighted to be working with such incredible partners to bring a take on urban existence to the big screen. If feels surreal that something I had dreamt of for the longest time, is finally happening. I’ve been writing screenplays for five years. It wasn’t an easy ride for me. I’m glad that Ellipsis believed in me, and together with T-series, has given me a platform to breathe life into my script. I am truly excited about this new phase in my life and career.”

The yet-untitled movie is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar. While the casting of the movie is in progress, and the feature movie will go under production next year.

Meri Pyaari Bindu's theatrical trailer is being uncovered in a unique format. Starting today, we will be getting a sneak peek into Abhi and Bindu's life through 5 chapters. 

The first chapter titled Samosa aur Chutney was out now and it is sure to leave you inquisitive. We are introduced to mini versions of Parineeti Chopra aka Bindu and Ayushmann Khurrana aka Abhi. In the video, we are taken back to 1983 when India won the World Cup under the captainship of Kapil Dev. We see a cute and innocent Abhi meet the revelation that is Bindu. What follows is a cute montage of the friends and we realise why Abhi may fall in love with her.

The next chapter will be out tomorrow. Produced by Maneesh Sharma, Meri Pyaari Bindu is directed by Akshay Roy. Meri Pyaari Bindu is slated to release on May 12, 2017. 

At the trailer launch which took place today, Parineeti disclosed, "I will sing Aaiye Meherbaan in the movie. Ayushmann and I have sung snippets from old songs in the film.”

Parineeti and Ayushmann will be sharing screen space for the first time in the film and we are in love with their sizzling chemistry. Parineeti will be making her much-awaited comeback after two years. The last time we saw her on screen was in Kill Dil opposite Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Govinda. She has gone through a major physical transformation which was evident in the song Jaaneman Aah from Dishoom where she surprised everyone.
