Anil Sharma’s bet for Gadar 2 again!

Anil Sharma is set to announce a sequel to Gadar 18 years after he gave us one of Indian cinema’s best patriotic films.

The director has been working on the script for 15 years and has zeroed in on an idea that’ll pick up Tara, Sakeena and their son Jeet’s story after they start their happily-ever-after in India. While Gadar was set against the backdrop of the Partition, part two will show what life was like in newly Independent India. One thing’s for sure – Gadar 2 won’t work if Sunny Deol doesn’t return, so let’s hope he does!

Disco Dancer becomes a Genius!

Mithun Chakraborthy is back on his feet after having been laid low with a bad back for most of 2016.

A few weeks ago the veteran actor agreed to play a psychiatrist in Ram Gopal Varma’s horror film Geher, and now he’s also signed Anil Sharma’s Genius. The war film that will be a launch pad for Anil’s son Utkarsh will see Mithunda playing a National Security Advisor who mentor’s Utkarsh’s brilliant IIT-topper character. I get the feeling we won’t see Mithunda break out any disco dancer moves in this one!
