Superstar Akshay Kumar and filmmaker R Balki united for the
first time this year for the social drama PadMan which featured Akshay Kumar in
the lead role. As per a news in a daily, Akshay is all set to reunite with R
Balki for another project which is titled Mahila Mandal, a social drama again.
A media source revealed, “The film is being called Mahila
Mandal. In keeping with its title, it revolves around women. Nonetheless, the
role that Akshay plays is of immense significance.” Previously, there were conjectures
that the duo were coming together again for a project based on women scientists
who worked on India's Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan) in 2014. A daily report
states that Vidya Balan, Nimrat Kaur among others have been approached for
their project who have also given their nod. Numerous other actresses are also
been approached.
