Conjectures of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essaying the role of a
surrogate mother in film Jasmine: Story Of A Leased Womb was doing round in
media. Aishwarya too had told that she was in talks with the writers of the movie,
Siddharth and Garima. Aishwarya had revealed, “Our talks had stopped around
February this year, but now, I will take the discussion further. Right now, I
don’t know whether I’m doing it or not. I liked the concept, but asked them to
make a few changes to the script.”
Recently, it has been stated that the actress has said no to
the movie. A close source disclosed, “Aishwarya has turned down Jasmine. There
were several loopholes in the script. Although Siddharth and Garima’s basic
idea was strong, there were many problems with the story, which the actress had
reportedly pointed out to the writer duo. After the corrections, they
approached her with a fresh script, but Ash still felt she couldn’t relate to
it. So, she politely informed the team that she won’t be able to do the film
anymore.”
