Earlier, reports suggested that real-life father-daughter
duo Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan were to be seen on-screen for the first
time in Nitin Kakkar's next. But, Saif rejected those rumours. Speaking about
the film, Saif will not only be starring in it but will also be co-producing
the movie under his new production house Black Knight Films along with Jay
Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films. Titled Jawani Janeman, the film goes on
floors in 2019.
While Sara is not in the running for her father's movie
Jawani Janeman, auditions for a new face is presently underway, as per a daily.
The casting director Shruti Mahajan is presently auditioning candidates for the
author-backed role from across the country. The makers are keen to zero in on
one in the next two months. Producer Jay Shewakramani disclosed to a daily,
"Besides conducting nationwide screen tests, Shruti has reached out to
agents in the UK and the US as well."
The storyline of Jawani Janeman is that of a 40-something
man who is refusing to grow up and act his age. The new face chosen will be
essaying the role of the 40-year-old man's daughter.
