Veteran actress Sridevi, who has been busy promoting her
movie Mom, is often bombarded with questions on her elder daughter Jhanvi
Kapoor's debut. The young girl is rumoured to be debuting with the Hindi remake
of Marathi hit Sairat along with Ishaan Khatter. The film will be produced by
Karan Johar.
Given that Jhanvi is a star kid, the notion of her getting
things easy has been doing the rounds. But Sridevi disagrees to it and instead
feels that star kids have a tough time in Bollywood.
In an interview with a famous tabloid, Sridevi told,
"It’s more responsibility for star kids. Instead of having things easy,
expectation is higher. They are compared to their parents, and that’s unfair.
If you’re not good, it’s not going to be a cakewalk even if you are a star kid.
In fact, it’s the opposite. There’s more pressure on them and they have to work
harder."
The 53-year-old actress is also disappointed about the continuous
media glare her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is facing presently. She specified,
"I’m concerned about my children being so much in the media. I would’ve
been happy if Jhanvi would all of a sudden star in a movie. Now, she is already
in the media. But yes, the times have changed, so you better accept it."
