Karan Johar, who made his debut as a director with Kuch Kuch
Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, lately confessed
during a session at the Jagran Film Festival that in his opinion, the film was
quite silly, but became a hit because it was made with such conviction.
Elaborating on the same, KJo, as he is fondly known, said
that when he watches this film now, he often wonders how come he came up with
such silliness. Citing an example, Johar said that in the film, his character
Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) claims that a person falls in love and gets married only
once in his lifetime but himself ends up falling for two women and marrying
them at different points of time.
Karan's forthcoming directorial endeavor is Ae Dil Hai
Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
Fawad Khan. The film is slated to release this Diwali.
