It was in 2012 that Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt made
their big screen debut with the much-hyped Student of the Year. Since then the
two young actors have been good friends. This became quite obvious when Sid lately
came to the 22-year-old’s rescue after KRK made some ill-mannered comments
about her and told that she looked like a “Bacchi in panty” during a
photoshoot.
During a latest interaction with a leading magazine,
Sidharth disclosed how Alia’s presence at a special screening of Hasee Toh
Phasee had made him realize that they shared an extraordinary bond with each
other.
“I could feel a connection after she came for the Hasee Toh
Phasee screening. She was very expressive after seeing the film, and I found
that quite warm.", he added.
Furthermore, during the same interaction, Alia admitted that
she was indeed on good terms with Sid. But, she quickly added that she did not
want to talk much about her personal life.
“Sid and I, it's not like we don't hang out. We go to
parties together, visit friends together and move around openly. But we are not
trying to project an image here, or trying to talk about our personal lives in
the open. That's not what we are here for.", she stated.
Fascinatingly, on a lighter note, Alia also disclosed that
Sid treated her as a kid when they were shooting Student of the Year.
“During Student, he treated me like a kid, and I didn't like
that,” Alia further added.
On the professional front, Sid and Alia will soon be seen in
the family-drama Kapoor and Sons which also features Fawad Khan in the lead.
